Nobody is comparing fans. Criticism is criticism and after today criticism is deserved. I' m being honest. Don't ever remember being as embarrassed as I was today watching the Braves.
Last year at home vs Wichita State was wayy worse in my opinion
Bradley $ucked today! Plain and simple. I'm sure the coach and the players would say the same; ALL are to blame. Hopefully, they'll learn from this embarrassment and it won't happen again. Remember, these are college kids. Sometimes, they screw up or take things for granted. It's up to their coaching staff to make this a teachable lesson so it doesn't happen often... or ever again.
Today, #24 Illinois lost by over 20 to Wisconsin. #4 Indiana was outscored by Minnesota in the second half 52-36 (but still held on to win). The great #1 ranked Duke Blue Devils lost to #20 ranked NC State handily. Yesterday, #4 Arizona lost to Oregon. Wichita rallied furiously at home to barely beat SIU.
Sometimes, strange things happen in college basketball. As long as this is a rare occurance I'm fine with that. As someone said previously, whether we lost by 30 points or 1 point it's still a loss. Hopefully, an impressive rebound is ahead. GO BU!
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Northern Iowa hit Bradley with a 22-2 outburst to open the game and never looked back en route to an 84-53 Missouri Valley Conference win Saturday afternoon at McLeod Center.
Regardless of how bad we played today, and we played very badly, we are 10-7. Tell me anyone, anyone, who thought we'd have that kind of record this year, especially after our record the last 2 years. There were many games during the last 2 years that were as bad as this one. The disappointing thing about this game was that it looked like this years' team, because of how hard they've played in just about every game this year, wouldn't have a stinker like this one was. Even more so now I think this game will serve as a turning point one way or another. Either we sink like a lead balloon and play like we have the last 2 years or we start swimming upstream and play like the team we have looked like most of the year. Won't have to wait to long to find out.
hard to see any evidence of where we're heading....
but we are at least a couple years away from where we all want to be...
we are now 1-3 without just one of our seniors (and that one win at SIU was pretty shaky) - how we gonna look when we lose all three seniors...
I'm hoping we will better because IMO we aren't losing much as you can tell by our record the last 3 years they've been here. If we don't bring in better people to replace them we will be in big trouble. The 3 we are losing never did and never will get us where we want to be. We MUST replace them with better players or Geno's NOT gonna get the job done. I'm hopeful we're headed in the right direction but until we graduate or replace alot of people we'll have to watch this like it or not. Thats the hand Geno was dealt. Not saying he hasn't made a mistake or two with a few he has brought in but hopefully he'll correct that situation.

Dyricus will be missed as his defense will be hard to replace, Jake plays hard and has made 3 pointers lately but he career has been average at best, Will is an average player also and then Milos never plays for a reason.
As far as JC and SS they were late recruits as Geno had a late start and both of them are not consistent so I hope we are not counting on them to be starters, Geno has a good backcourt ready for next season so in order for him to get this turned aroung he needs to find big players that can compete down low.

With our returning players and our early schedule I thought we should be at least where we are. Who have we beaten who we shouldn't have beaten?
Chico, you are right.
Here are the numbers. Check out the RPI numbers for the teams we have beaten- 313, 294, 284, 324, 108, 176, 258, 326, 205, & 195. Those are not impressive wins.

After a year and a half, I still don't know what our MO is on offense. That concerns me.
I don't even know where to start with my frustrations from this one. Take your pick: didn't defend the 3, no movement on offense, bigs that aren't quick enough, bigs that can't catch, bigs that can't stay out of foul trouble, missed layups...
what?? Given our schedule - most people here thought we'd beat the teams we did -
That is not true. This team has drastically over achieved so far, especially considering our 6th year senior and only productive big man has missed 4 games.
