Not jumping on and off any ship here.

I've said all along I'm just looking for improvement this season and not wins/losses.

I agree.....overall Bradley is headed in the right direction. Hopefully, all of our recruits show up this summer and they're all as advertised.

The bottom line is that no one is exempt from reasonable criticism. This team was not prepared to play today and it was apparent from the opening tip.

hard to see any evidence of where we're heading....
but we are at least a couple years away from where we all want to be...

we are now 1-3 without just one of our seniors (and that one win at SIU was pretty shaky) - how we gonna look when we lose all three seniors...

Nobody jumping ship. Been a BU fan longer than most on this board. Just facing facts.

yea - it is funny - most people on this board are loyal fans for decades and we have someone talking about jumping ship?

can't disagree.....he was even questioning the time-out calls, the subs, the game plan...never heard this before on a DS call.....
If I hear anyone else this year say "we're headed in the right direction, I will heave..." ..we are not....we are watching & studying last year's game tapes to get ready for these games...

I don't live in, nor watch basketball in vacuum. They played terrible today; it's undeniable. On the other hand, what I saw against Michigan and Wichita State tells me that this program has a plan and will be better this year than they were last year; and next year, better than this year.

Alot of people here have been Bradley fans for a long time. I'm in my 6th decade but that doesn't make me any better or worse fan than anyone else. Just getting older. It's just clear that some have a different standard for criticism than they have had in the past. And that's fine. I just wish everyone would be honest about it. That goes for people on both sides of the direction discussion by the way.

Well we already have more wins overall than we did last year, and we will probably more than double our conference wins from last year. We also took soon to be #1 Michigan to the final minute and almost beat another now ranked WSU team last week without WE. We should be able to beat more of the bad teams, especially at home this year that we lost to last year, providing these last two games don't stay in the player's heads. That could be a concern and a loss to SIU next week would be disasterous. Let's just say we are heading in a better direction, especially at home, but next week will be a critical point in the season. WE may be back next week, so that would be a huge boost for our team.

Regarding our losing three seniors, I do agree tornado that we could stall a bit next year. That said, I would hope this year's juniors will step up with a year of additional playing experience, and our incoming recruits pan out. But even so, there will be a bit of a learning curve with them, as is usually the case for most teams. Unfortunately, .500 may have to be a reasonable goal for next year.

My biggest concern this year though is still our unravelling against even average road teams, and certain players that become unravelled when things don't go well for them. That shows we still have a long way to go, but coming off of last season, we are at least headed in a better direction. As some of us mentioned on the chat, with absolutely no disrespect to Geno, the coaching change did put us a year or two behind where we could have been if so many of Les's recruits did not "defect" after he was fired. That said though, I believe Geno will have this team where we all want it to be by the following season, and maybe at least closer next season.

you obviously missed the entire point - but if it is YOUR site then you can feel free to make the rules...
This site is not yours so feel free to read the rules..you asked specifically if Da Coach has the right to judge what is reasonable on his own site - I'd say he does and his rules make that redundantly clear...

Expected 2 losses on the road this week as we have no inside offense or defense against bigger teams, today we left wide open players that can make 3 pointers to give help inside because a certain player cannot guard anyone period.
We will regroup for hopefully 2 home wins next week in SIU and Mo. St., going to win more games this season then we were expected to and just need to get better inside players with size for the future or we will not be challenging for titles .
Nate and J.P. are not the answer as far as finishing anywhere near the top in the conference so we need to use final 2 scholarships on 2 good big men.

Agreed with everything except your last point. Without Nate and especially JP, this team would have about 3 or 4 fewer wins by now. They compete and play their hearts out, and they would both be important pieces even on teams with better size and shooting. So while we may not be challenging for titles right now, you can't underestimate the importance of players like these.
