    Lemon??™s father passed when he was just fifteen years old, but he feels the impact his dad had on his life every single day..

    ???I love the game. I don??™t know how to explain it. I don??™t know what else I??™d rather be doing.???

    He is not normal, and that is what he wants to show everyone when he steps on the court and plays the game he learned to love from his father.

    ???I??™m not some regular person.???

    Enjoyed reading this.
    I don't consider Lemon JR. to be a regular person, or regular basketball player.
    He has taken this team on his shoulders and given us a toughness that's been missing for several years.
    I just love his confidence and mocksy.
    We should cherish having a guy like Walt on BU and if he can continue to take care of the ball and let the game come to him, he will have an outstanding rest of the season and super senior year too.

      Walt has earned respect as a scorer and as a leader......
      as we speak - Walt is on target to possibly (barring setback) finish his career at Bradley with around 1500 career points - that would put him close to Bradley's TOP TEN career scoring leaders!!

      I don't want to put the pressure on him but he's already scoring as well as some fine members of Bradley history........

      Cellus finished his career at 1493 and in 11th place all time but he was passed by Andrew Warren who now is in 10th with 1621.
      Walt currently has 808 career points...and if he continues his 14 ppg average this year - he should end his junior season at around 1000-1050 - right where Andrew Warren was (1019) at the end of his junior season.
      Then if Walt plays 30-32 more games as a senior and can average around 15 - he'd be right at 1500-1600 for his career........

        Would love to see this happen. Walt has become a leader both vocally and by example. He has worked hard to refine his game and shake off tough times in his BU career.

          I've bashed him a bit this year but most of that was because he's playing out of position as a PG. What we also need to take into consideration in considering him as a top 10 player is his excellent DEFENSE! If there is a shooters camp somewhere I'd love to see him there this summer because if he could hit a consistent 3 with his ability to hit the pull up jumper and finish at the rim, he'd be really special.

            In some offenses where Walt could play the main scoring wing spot -
            (like McCollum at Lehigh, Canaan at Murray State, like Hersey was here, or even Colt Ryan at Evansville) he could average 20 ppg...
