Anyone know any good places where the fans will be loud tonight around P-Town? Thanks!
... At the end, of the storm, there's a golden sky. And the sweet silver song of the lark. Walk on, through the wind, walk on, through the rain, though your dreams be tossed, and blown. Walk on, Walk on with hope in your hearts, and you'll never walk alone!
I'm behind you 100% Bradley Braves, You'll Never Walk Alone! BEAT STATE!

If you are looking for places without an excess of alcohol, then Buffalo Wild Wings, Jillians, The Fieldhouse, Hooters, and Double A's Pizza should be good.
TNT's is good, but I have heard they get a little rowdier there.

Well, at least Notre Dame didn't lose a heartbreaker in the last second! But I guess we know which is the better team. Now watch the same bunch who did not think NIU deserved to be in the Orange Bowl complain about ND being in the BCS championship!

BCS formula/system resulted in some real lousy match ups this year.
Sports-Reference.com calculates a great formula called Simple Ranking System (SRS) that better evaluates the diversity of schedules and eliminates the bias from the human polls. It also is predictive and not retroactive. Although the latest ranking isn't complete because BCS title game is still going on, it shows that ND didn't belong in the title game.

Here is a better explanation that I attempted. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/blog/?p=37

Well, maybe yes, maybe no. But ND played a solid schedule and was undefeated. I know playing an SEC schedule was tougher, but I still think an undefeated season with a slightly lesser schedule is just about equal to a one loss season and a more difficult schedule. I would give the edge to the team undefeated. But you make a great case for other teams BUB.

An interesting sidelight to the game, that many of the males on this board probably already know about -
A few years ago, Brent Musberger once made a few comments about a pretty girl in the crowd at a Florida State game that the camera kept showing. Her name was Jenn Sterger, and she went on to become a model, and TV host solely from the attention she got from that game.

Last night Musberger and the ESPN cameras focused on the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron, Katherine Webb, who suddenly has become an internet sensation. She was not exactly an unknown, she is the reigning Miss Alabama USA. But anyone who is on Twitter would know all about her since her appearance on TV last night, as she has gotten more attention in the past few hours on Twitter than just about anyone ever has. She went from having just 562 followers on Twitter, to now having over 182,000 followers in just a few hours, thanks to ESPN and Musberger, even though she tweets very little.

YouTube video of the ESPN event-

+1 Ben I also did not believe ND was one of the top 2 teams in the country. They got lucky in a few games (i.e. Pitt missed FG) and the Stanford game was a real joke. They benefited not on one but 3 plays, late hit to the QB, pass interference and the last play were all very questionable.

On NIU I had no idea and was glad to see them in there.

Obviously ND wasn't the #1 team in the country, but they were 12-0 and deserved to be in the championship game. If Ohio St was eligible they no doubt would have been playing ND instead of Alabama. Helps to not lose a game.

Yes, but the current system is the one the BCS contigent came up with in the first place. And it worked. NIU and ND did what they needed to do to make those two games. If any BCS fan has an issue with this, they should have come up with a different system in the first place.

And by the way, NIU seemed to play with better effort against Florida St. than ND did against Alabama.

Well ND got lucky, but they still won the games. It shouldn't matter how they won. I bet even Alabama had a game or two where the ball bounced in their direction, so to speak.

I'm heartbroken, I just hope Bama fans will be gracious. Anyway, I say that this was mostly a combination of Saban out-coaching ND and a "been there" attitude that not only the players had but Saban had. It was a lot easier for Saban to keep the players healthy and ready for a game over a month than Kelly, who hadn't really had to do that yet. He learned, and I think that if this game were played the week after Army-Navy it is a much better game. ND looked terrible, I've never seen them play so uninspired.

You have watched ND play a lot this year much more than I have, hard to believe they would not be inspired in a national championship game.

To beat Alabama, you have to win in the trenches, stop the run, and have a great QB play a great game. I don't think any of those things happened.

Exactly, that and McCarron was used a lot more than normal (for the few bama games I saw this year). The secondary was not ready and T'eo was a non-factor which I did not expect.
