Carmichael disappeared in the 2nd half - he had only a couple points and only one 2nd half rebound

lucky for ISU their lonely stay at the bottom of the MVC didn't last long...
Drake just lost to Missouri State 77-65 so Drake joins the Birds at 0-3

WIU wins again - beats IUPUI!!

SIU looking beat in the 2nd half as Evansville has run out to a 10 pt lead..
they are gonna join Drake & ISU at 0-3

Where are those who always said Chris Lowery was a good coach and a great recruiter....just look at the talent there in C'Dale that Lowery has left behind...
they don't look as if they have more than a single D-I player on the roster....no wonder Barry wants Diamond Taylor back ASAP...even his 3 ppg will probably be better than Barry has

I almost have a few tears looking at the wilkins stats for the game/year. Another reminder not to buy into the recruiting hype.

I agree, but I also think ISU has played JW out of position for 3 years. He has played around the perimeter as if he was a shooting guard, which he's not. He only has 6 points and 6 total rebounds in their 3 MVC games. That is an awful average for a senior 6'9" athletic kid like him. Heck, Anthony Thompson put up better numbers. He has always been listed on their roster, and in the box scores as a guard. That designation is made by the coaches. If he would have played more of a true 4 position, IMO he could have been a tough matchup in the Valley.

I dont disagree but from what I understand he thinks he's a guard. Probably a bit of a desire/toughness issue.

I'm happy for Mo. He's as solid of a dude as there is.

Evansville's Ned Cox is 5-5 from the arc...
they are up over 20 now

Evansville's Ryan Sawvell - on the All Freshman team last year - is just entering the game in the final 2 minutes of garbage time..
what has happened - this kid killed us last year and now he doesn't even play unless they're up 20?

                      Final score Evansville 85 - SIU 68

Missouri State couldn't find the basket during the non-conference season, and now all of a sudden they are lighting it up. I watched a good part of their game tonight, and they were making some crazy shots that had no business going in. Drake made a huge run (22-7) to cut a 16-point deficit to 1, but never could get over the hump.

the Valley is interesting - and I kinda agree with the ISU radio broadcasters who said the only race is for positions 3, 4, 5 and beyond.....

but I'd go one step further and I hope we can make this staement today...
that really every Valley spot from 2 thru 10 right now is up for grabs - but I think spot #1, barring injuries to McD and/or three or four other guys, is spoken for...

If you're going to upset Wichita, this is when you do it. Otherwise, when they get healthy again, I think they're 1A with Creighton.

Yessiree, if we don't beat them today ,no chance at WSU. When they get healthy ,they and CU are the class of the Valley.

Just a painful reminder- Wichita State beat Bradley by 39 points in Peoria last year (90-51) in Bradley's MVC opener Dec. 28, 2011. I am sure we will have a better showing today
