people were saying that he is hard to get along with... and kind of gets everything the way he wants at WSU... rubs people wrong way kinda guy.

I can tell you from sitting directly behind him for 2 hours on Sunday afternoon that he's no peach to deal with on the bench.

One of Wichita's injured starters, Evan Wessel - appears now will need surgery for broke bone in hand - and may be done for the season.
One other starter Ron Baker appears to need at least another month before he returns from a stress fracture in his foot.
Carl Hall is still about 2 weeks away

We need to work on breaking a press and keep TP and SS from being the people stuck with bringing the ball across the half court line. WSU's press was nice, but it was far from unbreakable.

Agree on the bigs bring the ball across half court...both SS and TP were stripped from behind....prefer the guards to do the ballhandling! Loved the effort from everyone who played though....one of these games were gonna break thru with a W'!

I thought the press was a good one and a little different than most. They backed off their pressure just enough that it made it difficult for us to pass AND attack and we lack the talent to handle the ball and to pass over it...
They were very long,active, and well rested playing 9 guys

I think TP missed the switch on that 3 pt play.....I was more bugged about that than anything......but it was a great overall effort by BU

Jake was guarding Williams at the end and got screened and I don"t think the communication was good as far as switching as Ty was late in getting back, wish we would have made them throw the ball in the backcourt and then foul as they would have shot a 1 and bonus , worse case scenario is they make both and we need a 3 to tie, have seen great freethrow shooters miss in that situation as with the game on the line it becomes much tougher to make your freethrows.

Agreed. Once it was clear he was free, there is no reason to foul him at that point. Who knows what could have happened with a long 3-pointer to tie the game. At least it would have been a possibility.

Agreed, and there is no reason to think why a coach can't build a mid-major into a consistent top 25 program like Mark Few and Shaka Smart have done (see today's ESPN poll). Plus if the Catholic 7 get hold of Wichita St., they may play a BCS like schedule anyway. So yes, I think Marshall has a really good thing going at Wichita St. which is why I don't see him moving anytime soon.

WSU will not be part of the Catholic 7! We'd have a better chance then them. There's no reason for them to bring in a non private school.

He leaves because of the realignment issues and wants to be at the highest level possibly or he gets an offer from one of the better jobs at a BCS school for much more money. Its that simple IMO.

We have at least twice this season how missed free throws can cost you.
