Game plan?

Down the stretch when we needed to score - Walt took on the task and went one-on-one a few times and his superior skill carried us and we won..
But.... this "game plan" of a lot of one-on-one move failed us last season and is not going to work against the upper level of the Valley who have the same talent and skill or better.
We are still going to have to stick consistently with a game plan of feeding the low post....the best games we have played were when our guys in the paint out-battled and outscored the other guys.

Remember when we played CMU - I know they're not a great team - but we beat them in all aspects...
BUT WE OUTSCORED CMU IN THE PAINT 66-24!!!!
SIU is an even WEAKER team down low - only one true frontcourt player, only one guy over 6-5, and often playing with 5 guards -
...yet they embarrassed us at times down low and we regrettably did NOT outplay them in the paint!!!!

hmmm...if we were so embarrassed why would we continue to go down there?

no, they embarrassed us when they went into the paint - it wasn't our decision...
on paper they had absolutely no possible way to beat us in the paint yet that's where they went with the ball over and over

I thought we should have done the same thing....they penetrated into the paint which is what I thought we could have done more...It seemed to me we could have been more effective with the guards getting into the paint after rotating the ball and look to dump to the bigs when help came....

I think we are pretty weak inside defensively...
