he got his degree and in the process helped Hamline to a 15-11 record averaging 17 ppg & 7.3 rpg

Michigan State's Derrick Nix - one of their key players was arrested for DUI and marijuana possession and Michigan State
said he was suspended...but as soon as the basketball season started - they said he would get no suspension...they even made him TEAM CAPTAIN

Just curious what you thought was self-righteous about Kirk's article. I don't think Kirk giving his opinion on how BU should handle this is self-righteous. "I'm sure the administration can handle this appropriately" doesn't make for a very good read.

This is pretty wild, irresponsible talk about a young man who has no addiction and has never been diagnosed with an addiction...

So you're quite sure he doesn't have an addiction? He bought Vicodin from a street dealer, was arrested and spent two nights in jail. Would it be safe to say he has a problem, if not an addiction?

I think KW's article is spot on, and hope BU does the right thing by getting Will the help that he needs. Life is more important than basketball.

That wasn't how I read it at all. To me, it seemed that Kirk felt it would be irresponsible to presume that Will doesn't have an addiction, and that the university should go to great lengths to confirm it one way or the other. I'm also curious as to how you know that Will has no addictions. I find your statement to be a pretty wild and irresponsible presumption on your part. Your desire to grind an axe with Kirk knows no bounds.

This is like calling a guy out for beating his wife then saying you really don't know nor have any evidence that he ever beat his wife...

one more note - the State of IL keeps an online database of every person in the state who fills even one prescription for any controlled substance or narcotic -
and only health professionals can access this site - so as to be able to determine if any patient that is being prescribed for isn't secretively getting more meds
from some other place/source, other doctors, ER, etc...
Let me put it this way - if Will even has the tiniest addiction and has filled even one prescription then it would be easy to know that -
