How is Will Egolf playing this year. Didn't SI list him as the top player in Alaska? He should be putting up some decent numbers.

Boys basketball gets a late start up in Alaska, and takes a back seat to hockey as a winter sport. I think his team starts playing later this month.

Here is the schedule for Will Egolf's team, the Juneau Douglas Crimson Bears--

Their first games aren't until after Christmas. The fact that Juneau is isolated, far from the nearest cities, and inaccessable by road, means they play a schedule quite different than other high school teams in other states.
Their trips are long and last several days. They have trips where they play 2 games on successive nights against the same opponent. Some visiting teams also stay several days and play 2 games before returning home.

There is a new article on Nick Freundt on Rivals.com courtesy of BlueDemonsNation.com.

The article reports that he is averaging 20.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.4 blocks for his 5-0 high school team. He has received interest from Wisconsin, DePaul, Dayton, Bradley, Michigan, Indiana, Arizona State, among others. He mentions Bradley with a number of higher profile schools in the video.

It looks to me like this kid would be a real good get for the BU program. Hopefully BU remains in his top three as things progress. Having the MVC continue to make noise can't hurt and it seems to me that he want's to stay regional to Chicago so that his family can see him play.

Just a thought........but if the Valley stays up in the conference power rankings might there be a chance to get even more games on ESPN or more national exposure..........thus landing some of the bigger HS players wanting to play in the Bigtime? The better the league....the better the recruits!
