  • Jill Green Chevrolet (C'mon man)

What is going on at Jill Green Chevrolet. They have our head coach Geno Ford driving around in a Chevy Malibu. How low budget is that? Les drove a Hummer and Geno is driving around in somebodys grandpas used Chevy Malibu. Hope he doesn't do a home visit with a recruit in that. Something has to be done about this cause this is a bad look for the University and for Coach Ford. This is an absolute joke and Jill Green looks really bad here.

Could it be a loaner while his Tahoe is in the shop? - I have seen him driving a nice, top of the line red SUV when I have seen him tooling around...

      No it's not

No it's not. And even if that was the case who gives him that as a loaner? Just absolutely crazy and no excuse for it. I can guarantee this the Creighton coaches son is not even driving a Malibu let alone the coach. This is low budget and there is no excuse for it.

First of all Geno is making a lot more than Les. Secondly, why does it matter what he drives. He was brought onto campus to win. Third, maybe it is a loaner car or Geno doesn't care what he drives.

            Braves

First of all Braves never said Les said Creighton's coach. Secondly it is a farce that the Head Coach is driving that and if you think any other Head Coach is driving a Malibu you need to get out more. Maybe you work at Jill Green and if that's the case get it fixed.

I do agree that the old saying was ...
"Clothes make the man" - and Geno is doing great in this realm - https://mobile.twitter.com/clarence_...268417/photo/1

but nowadays when you show up to recruit a kid - or when you show a kid around Peoria who's on a visit or you take him to dinner
              - the kid DOES notice the car you're driving and it needs to be one that impresses!

I don't work there but if the most important thing to coaching then Lexus of Peoria or the accura dealership should step up to the plate

Great points you made there and I couldn't agree more. Just can't believe a dealership would do that when they have numerous Tahoes and other SUVs on the lot just sitting there.

I believe they both provide cars, or at least significant financial support. Bob Lindsay Honda/Acura is a BSS member and provides wheels to the program. Lexus (pearl) has been a sponsor for the raffle and golf outing amongst other things.

Why the BU head coach is driving any sort of Chevy is beyond me.

Maybe coach Ford likes a Malibu. Just win Geno. Way to go last night.

I've given coaches cars starting with Stan Albeck.....if you think this is a good deal for car dealers...it's not. We provide it for BU to help with the program.
Many dealerships don't even give demos to salespeople and/or managers...

So I would cut Green some slack here....it could have been an emergency situation or something else for that matter but if you don't know the story you shouldn't cast judgement

Thanks for clearing that up, I had no idea who Jill Green was.... I don't care what he drives, just win. Oregon State's football coach drives a Prius and a bike for crimeny's sake!

Jill Green has been gone from that dealership in many years as she just came in to get it started when the Green family purchased it from S&K, also if you care about what car someone is driving you have way too much time on your hands , worry more about whether or not we can get a good big man for next season.
