Great win for InSU! I happened to get home from Christmas Dinner and turn it on with 2 mins left, down 7. Great comeback and clutch play by Odum in OT. I had marked InSU as a potential sweep but may have to retract that...

Great comeback for the Sycamores tonight! I saw they were down 7 with a little over two minutes to go, but apparently they pulled a "Virginia Tech" and came back at the very end. This team now has a legitimate shot at an NCAA Tournament at-large bid, with three of their four losses to ranked teams. Too bad they could not win one of those three, and also it was unfortunate that they lost to Morgan St. But enough quality wins where the selection committee would need to at least take a long look at them should they finish in the top 3 of the Valley. Based on the non-conference play of our teams, it should be an interesting race as usual, despite some missed opportunities here and there.

            Morehead State, not Morgan State.

it was a very sloppy game - lots of missed shots and even some bad calls by the refs...
The announcers were having a bad game as well and talked more about the upcoming contest between Arizona & San Diego State...

I lost count of how many times the announcers repeated that the elbow that injured Justin Gant was completely accidental and unintentional...
but....I saw the same play just a bit differently -- I think they guy had at least some intent to screen Gant out using that elbow as it was in an extremely unusual position - why would the guy go for a rebound with only ONE ARM stretched out towards the basket??
His other arm was seemingly intentionally positioned backwards and behind him and you could see he knew Gant was there and was screening him.
I don't think the guy intended to strike Gant in the face with the elbow - but I do firmly believe the elbow was place in that spot intentionally....
I also think the refs agreed - since they DID award a FLAGRANT foul and free throws - so why did they do that for completely unintentional and incidental contact?
