Offensive strategy wish

Ok guys, lets just imagine you have input to the team regarding our offense and your allowed to add one nuance to the team. You have to work with what we have so wishing for another Hersey Hawkins is not on the tables. What would it be?

I'd have WE running through screens like AW did looking to shoot at least a handful of 3s a game. Imagine the other teams big chasing him? I'm not sure what impact it would have on his foul troubles if any. I'm sure he's a big part of our zone busting strategy. If he hits a few 3s and then DSE, WL and TP can do their slashing without worrying about the other team's big in the way. I'm not sure what else we can do to combat a well played zone against us.

Hands down this is my strategy:

Have Omari Grier suit up and go under cover - maybe wear Shayok's uni to give us a pure shooter.

Let's face it - Geno is doing everything he can to work with our strengths. We just don't have the shooters, we're getting wide-open looks from the outside so that's not a problem.

I don't see Will stroking more than 3 threes in a game. The more he shoots, I think the less effective he would be.

I agree that we are what we are this year. I suppose we could try bringing Gavin in against zones. Unfortunately the other players he would replace are better all around players so we would suffer in other areas. I am not sure a lot could be done this year. I am just glad the defense is playing so well. I hope it stays that way all year.

Hoa about we run our O through our D! Love the way our guys are playing defense. I'm not sure who I like watching more on D from DSE, WL and TP.

We have played GREAT D most the season! But its hard to stay consistant on D if shots arnt falling thats why coach MO is so awesome in my book and what SIU did for so long! Its a thing of beauty what we have been doing on D for the most part!



Against the zone I would be trying as much High Low stuff as possible TP would get the ball at the FT line and it would be his to do what he saw fit WE JP TP not a bad look against a zone with WL, JC, DSE, because face it those are our 3 pt threats, WE has the green light but I like everyone in the building thinking 3 from egolf and he dumps it down to TP for the Higher % shot too! I am just full of optimisum at what may be unfolding before our eyes!!!!!!!!!
