we are fortunate that there's 5 or 6 Valley teams that like us are kinda rebuilding or struggling...MSU, SIU, InSU, DU, UE, even UNI... we can compete with these guys - maybe even WSU if all their starters are sitting out -

      Me neither!
Let's get to 15 wins first and then we'll revisit tourney possibilities!

Always thought EIEIOs were great for young teams getting experience.

Though they are not worth comparing to NCAA or NIT Tournaments, given the choice between Bradley's season ending and one more game, it would take a lot for me to turn down seeing one more game.

According to that site here is how they forcast the conference shaking out: http://www.rpiforecast.com/confs/MVC.html

Not trying to rip on Bradley, but they are among 3 schools in the MVC that are forcasted by that website to have a non-conf SOS above 300:

          Bradley 304
          SIU 313
          Evansville 320

That's out of 347 schools. I am curious where is all the talk of "hurting the MVC's Conference RPI" with #'s like those?

Now these are only forcasted #'s. And I have no idea how reliable those forcasts are. But Bradley does have a SOS right now @ 297, SIU's @ 295, Aces is currently @ 193

My view of the EIEIOs is that they are tournaments that you catch on the way up, not the way down.

lol everyone ISUred fan is giving us crap about our scheduling.

We have 1 down non-con year... compared to a half decade from jank and co.

I'm actually a bit surprised, I was expecting low 200s this year, and we have a couple boosts left, IMO.

Not only that, but Jank's teams were seemingly NCAA Tournament-ready teams. Something tells me that was not the case with Bradley this season, coming off one of the worst seasons in school history and with a coach entering his 2nd season here.

We do have South Florida, Michigan, George Washington, Virginia Tech, and possibly Colorado State on the schedule. That's good enough for me.

I'm not exactly sure what isu fans think Bradley's schedule should have looked like this season.

That number does not account for the bracket buster game or the 2nd game in Las Vegas. There is a chance that the 2nd Vegas game is CSU which would be a top 100 opponent. The bracketbuster is the great unknown, but could wind up being an extra top 150 on the road.

Also - with the bracketbusters ending, will we have a return game in 2013 or 2014 from the opponent this year?

                      That's a good question.

I was able to find this bit of information....

"According to Murray State Athletic Director Allen Ward, teams are still contractually obliged to play return games even when Bracketbusters ends."

Great job this week BU. If we can't score, we need to keep the other team from doing so. Of course, that got Mo fired, but at this point we will take it!

Regardless of what happens in Vegas, I have seen enough to know that we should be able to win most if not all home games in the MVC, and maybe steal a couple on the road. Geno has done a great job getting this team to play together.

Most of the ISU fans I have talked with are a bit more realistic than in years gone by....especially since even when they had 24 & 25 wins they got the NIT call...
They are realistic about knowing mid-majors need to play a tough schedule AND WIN - and they are trying to do that this year - playing a tougher schedule but have yet to beat a major conference team...but did win at Dayton...
...and they are realistic that the selection Committee still might not care and could leave a "midmajor" home even with an RPI of 20 while offering an at-large bid to a BCS school even when they have 14 losses or an RPI of almost 80!!
