Funny you mention Bill Laimbeer because that is who I believe he should emulate.

I haven't seen NW play yet, are we talking Hemskeerk ceiling (good hustle and effort but limited talent) or POB ceiling (developing into his body and becoming a force)?

Maybe not, but Sam Singh performed so much better with the mask on compared to before he started wearing it, that even after he was allowed to get rid of it, he went back to wearing it again. Some pro players have noticed the same. Rip Hamilton has never stopped wearing his mask, even though the last time he broke his nose was the 2003-2004 season. He has said he continues to wear it because he believes it brings him good luck.

But Tyler broke his nose in the State Farm tourney against Rock Falls, played the next day without anything and then tried practicing with it.....that lasted a practice and half...it drove him crazy

I don't think Nate is ready for meaningful minutes yet. Apparently Geno feels the same way. My hope for Nate is that he continues to develop this year and next, then his junior year may be ready to contribute. He seems like a great kid and a hard worker.

However, if he is going to continue to injure our players in practice, we should unleash him on isu to do the same
