So it's not the criminals job to stop committing crimes, and we shouldn't blame the offenders. We should blame law enforcement. Stick to basketball T, you make more sense.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

How do you propose we stop the criminals from committing crimes? They usually don't listen to people like you and me.

the criminals are fully responsible for the crimes they commit but the civic leaders are responsible for making cities safe

How can they make a city safe? As I said earlier we used to go anywhere in town at any time. It wasn't civic leaders who were responsible. What have civic leaders done to cause things to change?

in many cases they have done nothing.. when something should have been done...and
in many other cases they have wasted and exhausted resources leaving none to help fight the crime problem...
Nobody has been any more vocal than me pointing out how many millions of dollars of taxpayers' money has been flushed down the drain by the bad decisions of Peoria leaders who just happen to get rich off the very projects that lose millions.

All city leaders fault I guess. Why is it their fault that law abiding citizens can't walk city streets like they used to? Time to quit making excuses for criminals.

again, you disqualify yourself by focusing your whole argument against something that has never been said here

Think you know I meant that you put all the blame on the city leaders, not all the city leaders. Nice try. Two posts before this one you mentioned Peoria's leaders. My whole argument is I don't defend criminals by blaming someone else.
I don't think this board was meant for arguments such as this, so I'll be dropping this subject and try to concentrate on Bradley basketball.

Why do people have locks on doors and fence?
Why do banks have vaults, video surveillance and alarms?
It is because bad people are inevitable....and you control what you can control...same goes for us common folks...
do we tell banks to stop taking precautions and protecting themselves and spend more effort BLAMING THOSE who are the bad guys?
No, we do what we can do since we cannot expect the bad guys to stop being bad guys..

I think it is common sense that the people who lead cities must take the proper steps to curtail and protect against crime.
Even the Constitution spells it out clearly what the JOB OF THE PEOPLE WHO LEAD US IS:
"..establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare"
Nobody disputes that the bad people are responsible for the crime, but they're not gonna stop - and in fact they are gonna be emboldened if the city leaders do nothing - as Rahm Emanuel & the Chicago big wigs - and now even leaders in Baltimore are doing-

I simply echo this comment I saw on an editorial regarding the crime in Baltimore.....
"I see the Crime and despair every single day, every time I step outside my house; and the city's so-called Leadership is doing absolutely nothing to abate it."

Crime and despair have their leadership also. They don't take kindly to leadership trying to stop it. You said it T. The bad people are responsible for crime and they're not gonna stop.
