edit - I also noted that ex-Bradley recruit and ex-Loyola commit Marvell Waithe- is no longer with the Razorbacks....
I thought he had a year left but guess not - and when I checked his stats the past couple years at Arkansas - he rarely played and only scored a few pts...
sad..because he visited BU, and BU really wanted him and I think he'd have been a power at the mid-major level - kind of like the Stan Simpson saga...
BTW - Evansville up 20-9 over Murray State about 10 minutes into the game!

drat -- we're already 0-2 today (InSU loses to Morehead and Evansville loses to Murray St.)
and Missouri State is already folding early at Oklahoma State...could be another bad day for the Valley
Surely Wichita (Northern Colorado), ISU (WMU) & Drake (IPFW) ought to be able to hold serve at home!!
btw - Purdue scores only 44 and loses at Eastern Michigan!!

a team we may see in Las Vegas just got done playing over on Comcast (channel 56 on our cable system) ...
Colorado State played at UIC...and although UIC is not very good and played poorly enough to give this one away....
I'd have to say Colorado State not only played even worse, but their new head coach LARRY EUSTACHY basically gave this one away...
But I am not surprised - even tho this team was even touted here as a solid NCAA contender - because of the schedule they play...
Just as Larry Eustachy always has done - he's loaded his schedule with terribly weak low-D-I cupcakes and multiple D-II teams!
Their 6-1 record coming into this game with UIC includes wins over Montana, Chadron State, Denver, Northern Colorado, Evansville, and they still have North Florida, Bakersfield, Portland, SBU, and get this...
ADAMS STATE - who they get right before New Year's...
This team has a long way to go to impress me as an NCAA caliber team.

A couple articles about Eustachy-
Larry Eustachy’s successful coaching career crumbled at Iowa State in 2003, but now nine years sober, he has rebuilt his life and his career.

An MWC job has become a better job than a CUSA job thanks to realignment.
Nice to see Eustachy's crap scheduling philosophy in play again. Of course, he's accessed the mid-majors (Montana, Denver, et al) likely to run up their W/L in conference play, and with the DII's not counting in the RPI, his SoS will look so much better than it actually is.

Eustachy generally has a way of getting talented kids to play for him -- thus he can produce a good record especially when the schedule is tweaked to give him a dozen easy wins...
but he tends to get exposed in the post-season...with all those winning seasons - he's basically had only one year where he's done a thing in the post-season -
plus we all know he kinda holds the record for the worst NCAA Tourney loss when he was seeded #2 and got bumped out by Steve Merfeld's Hampton.

It was a terrible loss for Iowa State, but a few sources I found says that the Norfolk State win over Missouri last year was the biggest point spread in an upset in tournament history. The Spartans were 21.5-point dogs to the Tigers. Of course, Coppin State was an 18.5-point dog to South Carolina in 1997 and routed them.Don't putt until the cup stops movin'
