Thanks Pat. Things are looking good tonight. Bradley leads GWU 38-21 at halftime. Will did not start and collected 2 quick fouls and only played about 2 min. Jordan Prosser is having his best game as a Brave- 12 points and 5 rebounds in the first half.
We quit going to JP the last 10 minutes of the first half for some reason....but it was good to see JP finish tonight.....
The most notable stats- Bradley was outrebounded (39-30) and still dominated most of the game. Bradley had 17 steals, and forced 24 turnovers. That was the biggest reason Bradley lead from the start. And foul troble continues to plague our big men. It would be nice to be able to get a few more minutes from SS or even Nate Wells, to spell our main big guys (JP, WE, and TP).
Nice win!
DC...that says we had 24 rebounds....I looked at the first half stats and I think we were up 2 or 3 on the boards so we really got killed on them in the second half....
I think the scoreboard showed us leading 18-15 on rebounds at half. That means we really got pounded on the boards after that. But even if we just made free throws it would have been fairly comfortable.
6-2 though. I guess I will take it. We could be ISU.
I think the scoreboard said we led rebounds 18-15 at the half. So I guess we were really pounded on the boards in the second half.
6-2 I will take it. If we only made our FT's it still would have been a comfortable win even with the turnovers and rebounds.
***** Wow I am really having issues with the board. I double posted this because my first one didn't show up even after I looked for 10 minutes to see if I posted it in the wrong thread. Then I had to try and log in like 4 times. (I thought I had been banned).

Well said!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
Got it......I thought the crowd might be a little better as well....it won't be any better the next two games either probably
I should point out that today was our last day of class at Bradley. Finals start on Wednesday, and I know that a lot of students are cramming to get work done and study for finals. That could account for the low attendance. Also, the attendance might be low for a lot of the upcoming games because a lot of students will be going home next week for winter break.

I get that on the students...I just thought more Peoria fans in general would have been out after the effort against Michigan....
I do know alot of Big Ten fans were there Saturday though
We Should Have Beat Michigan. Is Our Best Shooter Benched??
Did anybody notice that in the Michigan game we looked absolutely DOMINANT on the inside but tentative on the outside? Our big men played great, and we were able to drive, but we had nobody knocking down open outside shots. We're not going to beat big teams if we don't have shooters that can hit. We have drive and slash guards in Walt, Crawford, and Simms-Edwards but they aren't shooters. Jake is our most consistent shooter but against big teams he looked tentative and hasn't played well offensively. Geno said he would be working in Gavin more before the Central Michigan game.. now we haven't seen him. Is our best shooter on the bench?
So when the students leave we will have 20 less people there?
Even with the close win, we need to recreate the image to the public that we won't be messed with at home. I think we are beginning to do that. I don't have the stats in front of me, but I know during the Molinari years when I was at BU, we won almost all of our home games. You just knew going to Carver was going to lead to a 'W' almost without doubt. I know some of the years of the JL era were the same.
If we can create that again, the fans will come back regardless of opponent. The enthusiasm will build, and people will show up to see the win. We just have to prove that we can defend our home floor against anyone, and Saturday's game was a great start to that.

Finals do not start Wednesday. That is study day and therefore students could have been at the game tonight. Finals do not start until Thursday
Sorry guys Finals start on Thursday. I just reread my post and I had accidently said Wednesday. Wednesday is Study Day. Regardless of that mistake, being a student, I have alot of work to do and have been trying to cram and study for finals and Im sure alot of other students have to do the same as well.
