I know it gets redundant, but I think this game is a big one in the GF era.

First off, this is likely to be our 2nd biggest test to date. GW is not a cupcake and presents several challenges. This will be a test for BU to see if we rebound after a much-anticipated game vs. #3 Michigan and falling short. If winning at home is a staple for Geno, this is one we need to take!

Secondly, getting this team to 6-2 with a long break before the next game might spark more fan interest into believing BU hoops might be worth following. More importantly, our confidence level will be at an all-time high. It would be nice to have high morale of the team in preparation for the games to come before league games start.

Let's leave everything on the court as if it's your last game and protect the house! It will be for a couple weeks anyways.
    Go Braves!

To me, it would be quite disappointing to lose to a team at HOME that we beat last year on the road. It would tend to indicate to me that their program is moving ahead at a faster pace than ours.

I'm failing to see how he is "slowly being worked back into action" after missing the two preseason games.

Geno explained this at the luncheon today. SS missed virtually 3 weeks of practice right before the season started. We have played alot of games in November and he just hasn't had the practice time to get worked in much more than he has. They have 13 games in between games here coming up and after listening to Geno I think you will see more of SS as the season progresses.
SS is not physically confident yet and they haven't had enough 5 on 5 this last month for him to really feel confident in what he's doing.

There are people who want to believe this is all due to a few weeks of limited practice back in October. But most of us think it is much more than that.

That's fine, but don't tell me he's being slowly worked into action when his minutes say otherwise.

Maybe Dave should have given the explanation you just gave.

That said.....I hope it's a different SS than what I saw last season, the SS that made me hold my breath everytime he touched the ball.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I think you are making too much out of the early games.....at home and easy wins and we got blown out USF for his other 8 minute game...

Since the 17th there has been little practice time plus he played the 3 last year right?......

If he's only playing 4-5 minutes during the conference season then maybe we can start worrying

I'm just going by the report that he's "slowly being worked back into action". I looked at his minutes and they didn't show that at all really.

Oh....I started worrying about SS last season and unfortunately haven't seen anything this season to change my mind.

                  67 - BU

                  62 - GW

He played a different position last year, he is now playing the 4. He doess not seem ready and may not be capable of playing the 4. What do you think? Has he shown anything in the minutes he has played that give you encouragement? Do you believe his regression is all due to a muscle strain? He looks lost on the floor. Watch him when there is a rebound to be contested. I know he hasn't played many minutes, but he has 5 rebounds TOTAL for the season, and in his last 5 games combined, he has a total of 1 rebound and no baskets!!

I confess I haven't seen him much this year yet so I only go by what's been said...there were times last year he looked lost too....so I wonder if he has hard time mentally grasping some things....I still think it's early for him this year....we'll see how it goes

+1 We need SS to step things up to give us more depth.
                          Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Thanks Pat. Things are looking good tonight. Bradley leads GWU 38-21 at halftime. Will did not start and collected 2 quick fouls and only played about 2 min. Jordan Prosser is having his best game as a Brave- 12 points and 5 rebounds in the first half.

                                Final stats-

The most notable stats- Bradley was outrebounded (39-30) and still dominated most of the game. Bradley had 17 steals, and forced 24 turnovers. That was the biggest reason Bradley lead from the start. And foul troble continues to plague our big men. It would be nice to be able to get a few more minutes from SS or even Nate Wells, to spell our main big guys (JP, WE, and TP).

                                Nice win!
