Hey Braves Fans:
Just wanted to let you know about a new radio show that will be airing this basketball season. The show will be the MVC Hoops Show . It will be hosted by Tim Krueger and Chris Sorenson. It will be a one hour show airing once a week. It will be totally devoted to covering MVC men??™s basketball. We will have on region and national media guests as well as Valley media. Each week we will also spotlight a different team from the Valley, talking to players and coaches. We will also break down the games from the past week as well as look ahead to games coming up. In addition to the above broadcast we will also have a wrap up show at the end of the season. And something we are very excited about we will be doing shows live from the MVC tourney in St. Louis.
This show was put together will the cooperation of the Valley office. I have spoken to Doug Elgin, Mike Kern and others regularly and they are thrilled with the project and have given their full support.
The shows will be taped on Thursday and distributed to the various Valley markets. Stations are either airing this before their weekend broadcast or on Saturdays. We will also have the show available on podcast and you tube.
We are currently in the half of the Valley markets which was our goal for the first year. Unfortunately the show is not currently scheduled to air in your market. This is where we would like your help to get the show on in your market. First you can simply contact either your flagship station that carrys the games or your local ESPN sports station WZPN. We have spoken to the program director at these stations. I am certain in most markets if enough interest is expressed he stations would reconsider and air the show. The other possibility is for someone in your market to buy the one hour air time and then obtain advertisers to cover the cost and in most cases show a profit. Saturday morning air time would not be that expensive and many of you may know potential advertisers who are hoop fans who could become sponsors. If anyone has an interest in this option and has question feel free to email us at mvchoopsshow@yahoo.com
Just so we are clear the MVC Hoops show has a corporate sponsor who is footing the bill for production costs. There would still be 10 minutes of ad time for the local affiliates to sell.
If the show is not aired in your market as I said earlier the podcast will be available.
Thanks and we hope you enjoy the show. Again if you have any questions let us know
