Fetz, did the refs at Syracuse help the home team a little bit?
BTW, Wichita State's RPI is #2 right now, behind Butler.
In fact, 3 of the top 4 teams in RPI are midmajors (#1 Butler, #2 WSU, #4 Xavier)
I have Direct TV with The Fox Sports package. This game was on ESPNU.
The refs were extremely one sighted, ORANGE. The Shox got beat up under the boards, without nary a foul being called. However, let Thye Shox touch someone and the whistles were blowing.
I was impressed how Turgeon mantained his cool!
It seemed like the majority of the calls went the Cuse's way but Jim B looked like he was gonna die on the sideline, as the Shocks continued to lead until the end when it got a little hairy. Turgeon always looked calm and collected, it was an interesting contrast and thats how the teams played.
Ummm.... they aren't BCS. Just like all the teams in the WAC. Just like Gonzaga. Just like the MVC.
IMO, there are BCS - and then the rest.
You don't want to call Xavier a Mid-major. Fine.
But don't give me this bs that they are Hi-Major. I don't believe in that kind of classification. There is Major, then Mid-Major. Majors are BCS. Then there is the rest.
If Xaviar is a major then we are a major. We are not a major! To me a major must be in a strong basketball and football conference. Xavier is in D-IAA football.
