a lot of people were fooled for while but I think they will now see after Creighton loses at home by 13 to Boise State, that Creighton is not currently a Top 20 team..
btw Derrick Marks - a kid who considered Bradley - went 13-19 and scored 35 points

Or maybe they thought this was the Boise State football team (consistently ranked) and that it would be acceptable to lose to them at home.
Let's just say the trap was set and they stepped right into it!

Derrick Marks was a great player at Plainfield HS, and Jim Les really liked his game. He was also recruited by ISU and SIU. But FWIH, when Bradley tried to offer him in the summer before his senior year, he said no thanks, as he was expecting to play at a higher level school. But then he suddenly committed to Boise State just before his senior season started. BSU head Coach Leon Rice must have done a good job of recruiting, because it's hard to attract players to play basketball at Boise State.
Boise State is one of the few D1 schools that does not have any minorities on the coaching staff, which can make it a bit more difficult to recruit in places like the Chicago area.

both Creighton & Wichita State were 6-0 going into last night - but both had way bad SOS's...
in fact Wichita's SOS was almost 250 !!
...there's still about ten conferences whose RPI's and SOS are better..and the bottom of the Valley is really weak...
what's with UNI -- everyone was talking them as one of the top 3-4 teams in the Valley but their RPI and SOS are both near 300!

Just look at SIU & BU compared to last year.
Drake and Evansville are better than their results indicate.
Wichita St. and UNI have reversed roles, as many thought the Shox would struggle early with their newcomers, and though they haven't been greatly tested, they have shown what they're capable of.
We have a shot at 3 NCAA tournament teams. UNI will have to fight their way back and play well in the Valley to have any consideration.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Valley at #8 in conf. RPI for most of the season, which is not so mediocre. You should question the validity of the RPI this early in the season.

Tulsa (4-2) @ Wichita State (6-0), 7:00pm CT..
If it's extremely unethical for a player or coach to be gambling then surely the same ethical rules apply to the AD.

Sounds like Tulsa has hit rock bottom after their glory days of the 90's!
