Indiana State won at home over High Point 76-62. The Sycamores got 25 points from Lucas Eitel on 7-7 from three. Jake Odum had an off game scoring, just 1-5 for 7 points. Just shows how valuable a pure shooter can be.
Drake lost a tough one to Xavier 74-70 in the DirecTV Classic in the Anaheim Convention Center. Ben Simons had 20 points, and another very good shooter, 6'9" freshman Joey King, came off the Drake bench to score 21 (5-7 from three).
And Missouri State plays SMU at 6:00 PM CST in the Hoops For Hope Classic in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
