After reading Jimmy Gavin's profile on the Bradley website, who knows, If he would have played his last two years of high school maybe he is on scholarship somewhere else. I'll take anyone on the court who can make a positive contribution no matter how we get them there [within the rules that is].

I recall Coach Ford first mentioning Jimmy's name during our chat session last August. He said that he became aware of Jimmy this past summer because he was working out and playing in open gyms in the suburban Chicago area with BU recruit Ka'Darrel Bell. They liked what they saw and offered him a chance to join the team as a walk-on. I agree that he looks like he could help the team with his shooting.

I would give it a "D+" simply from the result and effort.
UT-Martin was the worst team we've played all year.
I didn't see the USF game, but most of our guys played their worst game of the season on Saturday - not by a lot, but nobody was sharp except for Jake.

Walt's worst game was the 1st one, but this was close, even though he led all scorers. I kept thinking throughout the game that we desperately need a true PG. A few wide open looks that were missed by WL in that zone.
I can't agree. We won by 23 and were up by almost 30 in the second half. Scored 53 points in the second half. Shot FTs at 85%. Outrebounded them by 10. Were there defensive breakdowns and some missed offensive opportunities? Sure.

I just don't see how you can give a 23 point win a D+. We're not Duke playing a D2 school at home here. If you're giving style points you may as well bank them, because we're going to win some ugly ones. I'll just be happy they're wins.
