I don't think that most MVC teams are as tough as a Big East NCAA tournament qualifier with 4 returning starters. Agree to disagree.

Not sure where you got that they only lost 1 starter. They lost a lot more than that.
USF lost 3 of the starters from last year's team- Augustus Gilchrist, Hugh Robertson, and Ron Anderson. Those were 3 of their top 7 players, and included their top scorer, and 2 of their top 3 rebounders.

I may have reported that incorrectly. What I understand is that they returned 4 of their top 5 scorers from last season.

I think people have possibly forgot how bad last years team was.
I haven't forgotten how bad we were and we still have the majority of the previous regimes recruits back. I am elated with TP and the people Geno is bringing in. Help is on the way. Gonna miss Will but that's about all. Gentlemen it's gonna be a long year but I see light at the end of the tunnel and I don't think its a train. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

I get a kick out of the posters that say we would get over the previous coach getting fired and back Geno, which I do, but keep bringing up "the previous regime".
What part of illegal don't you understand?

Totally agree. We can only get better after this one. I feel like we've played 2 vert good games, 1 mediocre, and 1 poor (just guessing since I didn't see the USF game. This would make for about a .500,record in the end, for which I would be thrilled!
Good start to the season IMO, and we should shake off this one and move on.
            Better days are ahead!

They are playing a very good team tonight, no matter how much negative spin you people want to put on this loss I still see huge improvements from this team over last years team. Did you really think this team would win the valley or the ncaa tournment this year.
Yes we are a work in progress and this is about what I expected so I'm not so disappointed as many are but USF is not as good as we made them look though. They did start off hot but we helped them a ton. The number one step back IMO was the inability to make the extra pass. Selfish play was the number one reason why we got blown out! I look forward to seeing Coach Ford coach this team up!
