It seems unusual for anybody to turn aside volunteers.

We continue to support the braves and I was at both exhibition games and the EIU game. But unfortunately for me to graduate in May I have class Monday and Wednesday nights.
Can you please let me know how the sports marketing staff has treated you so I can address it with them? You can PM me if you don't want other people to view it. I'll do what I can. Thanks.

Last years was so much fun because there was so many other students and there was a lot of hype regarding Geno Ford's hiring. The event was also HIGHLY promoted as well. I remember seeing a huge poster in the Student Center marketing the game at the Renaissance Coliseum. This year, there was no marketing done except a mention in the Scout. However, I do like the idea of having games ON CAMPUS because a lot of students feel disconnected with the home games being at the Carver Arena. I just think the administration is trying to build up the school spirit by having.

You are preaching to the choir here. I have posted numerous times on this forum how I have thought that the Athletic Department has done a terrible job at trying to create student interest on campus. It appears from your posts that things have not changed.

I appreciate what you have done with the Red Sea. It is my hope that maybe someone from the Administration will read these posts and find ways to be more inclusive in the future.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

To be honest i'm past it now and theres no reason to bring things back up or what not. I will always be a BU fan and I dont think the people who made the decisions did so trying to harm BU or the fan base. It just wasn't the approach we wanted to take and to be honest it was their opinion that truly mattered not our. There was a lot of turnover in the 2ish years i worked closely with the marketing department and they wanted to go in a different direction. When we started the group we had the option of it being a purely student run organization or working hand in hand with the marketing department. We thought it was best to work with the marketing department which left us less in control. When staff changed and shifted our responsibilities to others and still wanted our time commitment, we were a little turned off and when the team was as bad as last year a lot of the "fringe" Red Sea stopped going to games and a lot of it fell apart. You always saw the 3 to 6 of us that were at most games, but a lot of the people around us were our friends and its much more fun when you have a group of 15 or 20 to go to the games with and when those other people start bailing because they don't want to see us lose big it takes a lot out of it.
