UTPA loses on triple OT to IPFW 97-94
and EIU loses to EMU 60-52

The Villanova game was on TV - Mislav Brzoja played a couple really short segments - and was scoreless

ex-BU recruit Marshall Henderson is now 16-34 from 3-pt in 3 games

Evansville wins with Colt Ryan sitting out 66-56 over Yale

Illinois edges Hawaii in OT 78-77 on an exciting DJ Richardson buzzer-beater - attendance of 7,550.

Marshall Henderson leads the nation in 3-pt shots attempted...he's already attempted 93 in eight games...
averaging 11.6 per game way ahead of the next closest guy who's averaging around 10 attempted per game...
(he's also attempted 18 2-pt attempts and made 11 of them)
he's cooled off a bit - now hitting 34.4% of his attempts - which actually a bit under the overall Division I national average over the past decade ****

he launched 13 more 3-pt attempts against Friday night and sinks enough to keep his scoring average at 17.8 ppg
As might be expected he does not get a lot of assists..and his team, Ole Miss has yet to play anyone at all!
(Mississippi Valley State, Coastal Carolina, Arkansas-Little Rock, McNeese State, Lipscomb, Rutgers, Middle Tennessee State, East Tennessee State..)

**** although the NCAA Division I average has been steady at around 34.5% since 1996 - this season this far it has dropped significantly...
The NCAA D-I average so far this season is at 33.2% (was 34.2% last year and hasn't been under 34% since 1995!
Everyone is shooting worse this year and there is no readily apparent explanation...
22 or the top 25 3-pt shooting teams from last year are shooting worse this year - and some - like Indiana (43-1% last year - 39.2% this year), Colorado State (40.0% last year - 33.3% this year) are way down.

One other interesting note -- if you check the junior college stats (NJCAA) something interesting is happening at Cecil College....
this junior college has THE TOP THREE three-point shooters in junior college basketball all on the same team!
One guy, John Mcnair is 15-21, 71.4%, the next guy, Charles Burley is 17-25, 68% , and the third guy, Donte Adams is 29-46, 63%
...then in addition they have SEVEN other players who have attempted smaller numbers of 3-pt attmpts but who are still shooting OVER 57%!!!!
As a team, they attempt 12 3-pt shots per game and make an astounding 66% of their attempts!!!!!
