Is it just me or has Bradleyfans forums been running very slow the last week? Both on firefox and IE for me. Other sites are at regular speed.

Yes, it has been running slower. We have been in communication with the web server technicians, and so far all we are hearing is that it is due to a significant increase in traffic on the site. We are working on some adjustments that we hope will help. Thanks for being patient.

jason - there are a lot more visitors to BradleyFans that ever, an d they are viewing a lot more pages, too.
I know from what Da Coach tells me that BradleyFans is now pushing 10 Million page-views per month in traffic -

so be patient as every good thing is worth waiting for!!

Hmm i'm not so sure it's the increased visitors overall. Increased visitors at the moment will slow it down but not overall. The forums have been slow all week, when it has had over 100 current visitors and when it was down to 30 visitors. I'm thinking it's on the server companies side.

Jason- It is not just the extra traffic created by more users. There are now webcrawler types of bots from countries like Russia and China that seek out busy sites like message boards, and search for email addresses, and other information that they are trying to gather, as well as try to post ads, links, etc.
We have done some checking and blocked a couple of the most active ones. Just recently, they have been on the site constantly, and draining 500 to 1000MB of bandwidth much of the time (for those unfamiliar- that is a lot- it's equivalent to hundreds of regular users online at any given time). The speed on the site increased noticeably after they were blocked today. Haven't you noticed a significant improvement today?
We will keep working to improve the service.

It's definitely running faster today. Thanks!

THanks DC, wasn't aware of that problem. Seems to be running a bit faster. Get those pesky bots out of there lol.
