In the Buffalo-Evansville game, there was a report that Colt Ryan was injured early in the game and left and did not return. It is being called a hip pointer.

        that's tough - Colt Ryan is off to a very slow start...thus far averaging 8.5ppg/1 reb & hasn't made a 3-pointer yet.

Carmichael & Brown seem ot be shouldering the load for ISU - 41 pts between them...

Evansville has too little scoring outside of Ryan - they managed only 50 pts, 34% shooting, 3-19 from the arc, and were also badly outrebounded.

In the Wichita game - preseason favorite for Freshman of the Year, Fred Van Vleet struggled again - no assists. In 3 games he has only 9 pts and 4 asst/5 TO.

He missed alot of practice time due to an injured ankle. Give him some time, he will get it together. His stats aren't impressive, but he has looked more comfortable on the floor each game he plays. He will still be a good one. He will be in Malcom Armstead's shadow most of the year, so he will go unnoticed for a while probably. I just hope he keeps giving better and better minutes as the year goes on. Ron Baker is a redshirt freshman that has been looking pretty dang impressive so far though. At least among the "freshmen". Him, Cleanthony Early and Malcom Armstead will probably be our best newcomers this year.

Glad to see you guys improving as well. Hope your team can keep up the improvement. I think the Valley needs Bradley to be strong!

I saw FVV play in HS and he is good - he was kinda a one-man-team because he had to be - so maybe he's pressing - but I know he'll be solid.

I saw FVV play in the State Tourney and really like his game. Not sure he will provide much this year but I think his future is bright as long as WU doesn't recruit over him. Doesn't seem likely but always possible. Compared to our Frosh, like FVV much better but in time ours will be okay if he develops a better offensive shot.
