And I'm sure that USF fans think we're a cupcake coming down to their place tomorrow night.

it's hard to gauge that as almost all their message board chat is football related...

but..one guy is predicting they will win by 22

they are discussing a current article detailing that their "USF Athletcis is in Crisis"..
they rank dead last in their conference in revenue and just about everything else of signifiance and are coming off an embarrassing loss...

Might be the most fun I have had watching a BU game in person since the CU game during the SNOWpocalypse 2 years ago.

Funny how the team had to leave the gym and go into the lobby to find their locker rooms.

So I watched some of the game on my DVR last night.... It was really well done broadcast.. especially in HD.. had to replay Walt's dunk a few times.

PS: It looks like most of the BU fans there took the bus.... we drove and went out in downtown Indy after the game.... what a great downtown area to hang out.

Yes, Indy has one of the best downtown areas of any larger city, especially around this time of year. It's clean, easily accessible, and visitor friendly. They have a tradition of lighting up the Monument Circle area with Christmas lights, and this is the 50th anniversary of the "World's Tallest Christmas Tree", although the official lighting of the "tree" doesn't happen until this Friday (Nov. 23), there were big crowds of people in the downtown area Saturday night. We were there prior to the game for a meal, and it was beautifully decorated, and very busy. We had a hard time finding a parking spot.

we were walking in the circle area when those lights were off and we had no idea what the "ropes" were then boom it lit up all the sudden

I was waiting for you to get a reply.

The game was very well done! It started on time and they didn't miss too much of live action. Great promos for Bradley U!
Nice to have the game on in Chi-town and get a W for the Chicagoans tuning in!

That was the most exciting game I've seen on TV since we beat Drake in the Valley Tourney in 2011 after JP went down to injury. I also remember a game we played @ Missouri St. a couple years ago and almost pulled off a huge upset. The way we played on Sat. reminds me of how we finished a couple seasons ago. Good to see that we're playing this kind of basketball early in the season instead of when we're in last place and have nothing to lose.

There was a bus to Indy, but I do not think it was ever planned to be open to general Braves Club members or other fans. It apparently was for the Braves Club board members and the Athletic Dept. personnel.

Truthfully, I would have been o.k. had we lost on Sat. to IUPIU as long as we played hard for 40 minutes (which we did) and kept the game within striking distance close to the end.
But credit the boys for grinding it out, and I think Geno did a great job at thwarting the Jags' runs which could have allowed them to pull away on their homecourt. We did a nice job of containing that big dude down low who was beating us up in the 1st half. Our defense was pretty strong, but their guards had stretches where they couldn't miss on off balance shots and highly contested 3 pointers.

Here is 1 part of the game that I thought was big.

IUPUI had just gone on a run (can't remember details)

after Hart made a 3 him and JE got into it in front of the Bradley bench.

this quieted the whole arena and was basically like Geno taking a timeout. It was just a time when I thought they could get a double-digit like lead

                          go JE

IUPUI should win their next game and help their RPI - they play North Texas who just got beat by some non-DI named Cameron...
But - the only DI they did beat is Lamar - who have been shellacked badly in all three games they have played for Pat Knight...

Tony Mitchell and North Texas right?

That was probably the part of the game I was most worried about. Seemed we were sort of coming apart and that 3 put us down by 6 and those guards were on fire.

There was so much intensity - especially after a big play defensively or inbetween plays - guys clapping, hitting each other on the head, and even some competitive barking.

I'm actually o.k. with TP celebrating after every make. What I would have a problem with is the trash talk after a make. I enjoy seeing Pickett getting excited after a make - gets me a little more excited too as a fan. The guy plays his heart out - and because of that, his heart jumps out into his limbs.
If that's what keeps him going, then more power to him.
