If you charge into your primary defender (the guy guarding the ballhandler even if he backs him down into the arc)
then the arc is of little consequence...and thus
a primary defender - as was the case on Monday - can still draw a charge in there.
"this applies only to the secondary defender. The primary defender is defined as facing the player with the ball...The secondary defender is defined as picking up the offensive player."

It was ruled a block by Lemon (after the shot), thus they ruled the shot good, and the foul was an ordinary foul. Since it was Bradley's 7th foul of the half, they awarded free throws. Additional discussion followed, because Coach Ford asked the referees to review the video to see if the player they awarded the free throw to was the correct player fouled. But this is not a reviewable call, so after discussion the refs proceeded with allowing the same player to shoot the FTs.

I felt like a big positive was Walt's play tonight, especially in the 2nd half.
Good to see him come out of his 1st game funk.
He also played ore agressive on defense.
Didn't Will miss another 3 in the 2nd half, or am I mistaken?
If do, that's actually the 2nd miss he's had, but the stats don't show him missing any.
This win didn't do much for me really -exposed a lot of our weaknesses we'll see throughout the year. Seems like we did come ready to play and showef hustle for 40 minutes.
Gotta play better on Sat. to get a W.

Yeah....so far I'm 0-2 on games and 1-0 on luncheons.....I could have maybe juggles some things to go to the games but didn't want to go through the hassle....now if we were playing someone good I probably would have made the effort. I've already rearranged some things for the Michigan game.....I'm hoping to be at the rest of the games though...

BTW, one more question about the Monday night game and the honoring of Anthony Parker into the Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame.
Does anyone know why Anthony was indicted into the BU Hall of Fame, a well deserved honor, but the administration did not retire his jersey or number? We have a redshirt player (Omari Grier) who was just assigned the #24 jersey.
I believe someone of his success and stature and character deserves to have his jersey number retired as well!
