I guess that's what I found funny. I'm sorry if I was disrespectful of your post - I really though you were being sarcastic.
It sounded like that was your sole basis for selecting a possible employee.
Not a bad idea to get a better sense of that person in other ways - hard to determine if they're feeding you complete b.s. in the resume and interview.

Personally though, I would go through the interview process and if you have to make a decision between 2 employees and couldn't get a good enough impression of them, then maybe I'd check out their social media.

And even in social media, you still don't know for sure what that person truly is like or could take their response out of context. Many people interact so differently in free expression writing compared to what they're like in the real world. Just something to keep in mind. In fact, if I were to judge the kind of person someone is by their posts on this site and then meet them in person, I probably would be shocked. I would like to think we're all a little cooler and kinder than how we sometimes portray ourselves on bradleyfans.com

Gargoyle - I have no problem with your method though, as I wouldn't be inclined to hire someone if vulgarity runs rampant throughout their posts, because that is probably a reflection of character.
And one would be wise to use a degree of restraint, knowing that somebody you may not want to see your post is actually doing it.

I didn't take offense to it at all, so no sweat.

As I said, I may have exaggerated a bit by saying it's the first thing I look at it, but character is very important to me, and the things people say and the photographs that they post are a good snap-shot into their character (in my opinion).

How about words that if we used them we'd be considered racists. I don't use the word ,don't like to hear the word and don't think it has anyplace on Twitter to be used by ANYONE.Again for you young people,I'm just showing my age.

But again, just because you see the word "N---" doesn't mean it's even racist or bad. In some Latin American cultures and beyond, this word is used among each other, almost to connotate a brother, or someone really close, and would never use it toward those who it would offend. Just don't look for those negative words and then not investigate their use or meaning in context.

If "smd" means what google say it means, that TB would tweet it, and to a reporter, says all I need to know about TB's attitude and leadership. Get some class or take the pictures of you in your BU uniform of your twitter.

Like I said before, Taylor had a lot of talent but as far as character goes his tweets pretty much sums up the Jeckyl and hyde type of person he is which is why he has been told about his tweeting problems on many occasions before and even by his mother. He obviously has not gotten anymore mature by sending out messages to Dave Reynolds who just reports about what he is told or what he hears in the field.

That word should not be used period and there is no excuse for anyone to ever use it period. Lets not make excuses for this type of poor behavior.
