Yeah, saw that too. I think TB would have a little better idea about the leadership of the team and what went on in the locker room.
I agree. I'm sure Dave made them aware of this perceived problem while they were still here.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12
Yes T, I will try to point out the real reasons and make it very simple for you but I can only come up with one reason. It's the players the last staff brought in and it doesn't get any simpler then that. With the product Jim had his last two years and what he left Geno last year is the reason we finished where we did the last couple of years and why we're drawing like we are. I've said it before and I'll say it again.Better days are coming and if not I'm betting there will be another change but I don't see that happening.
LittleBrave if TB and DSE's tweet are alot more sophisticated and classy than the majority of young people then maybe that's why the young college grads are having so much trouble finding employment. Employers are using this social media today. I'm not saying I agree they should but they are and that's the world we live in today.
The first thing I do with an applicant before I even interview them is look at their Facebook page and twitter posts. If I found anything resembling "suck my @!$&" in my search, the resume' would immediately go into the trash.

This is downright hilarious GTG!! I can't stop laughing man.
Either I am really naive about how the selection process for possible job candidates truly works, or you are being facitious.

that is interesting - do you feel the same about kids who Bradley is recruiting?
Would you want BU to back off if they have foul tweets??
- because I have even been shocked by some of what I read on certain recruits' twitter pages..

To defend Taylor a little bit. He may have meant to type "smdh" (shaking my **** head) which is a pretty common internet phrase, especially among young athletes.

Absolutely. How someone carries himself/herself is a reflection on my organization. I may have exaggerated slightly by saying "first thing", but I certainly look to see what's out there.
I have hired and fired a lot of people and I would always put personal experience and knowledge of a person's character ahead of some isolated vague abbreviation I might see on a twitter communication. We don't even know for sure what he meant, and it's being suggested that he isn't fit to hold a job!
BTW, I have followed TB's twitter for several years, and cannot recall ever seeing anything objectionable. Maybe one instance that was a little immature a few years ago when some people generated a lot of righteous indignation over an innocuous tweet about one of his teachers (it was actually a complimentary comment that some thought was disrespectful).

I guess that's what I found funny. I'm sorry if I was disrespectful of your post - I really though you were being sarcastic.
It sounded like that was your sole basis for selecting a possible employee.
Not a bad idea to get a better sense of that person in other ways - hard to determine if they're feeding you complete b.s. in the resume and interview.
Personally though, I would go through the interview process and if you have to make a decision between 2 employees and couldn't get a good enough impression of them, then maybe I'd check out their social media.
And even in social media, you still don't know for sure what that person truly is like or could take their response out of context. Many people interact so differently in free expression writing compared to what they're like in the real world. Just something to keep in mind. In fact, if I were to judge the kind of person someone is by their posts on this site and then meet them in person, I probably would be shocked. I would like to think we're all a little cooler and kinder than how we sometimes portray ourselves on bradleyfans.com
Gargoyle - I have no problem with your method though, as I wouldn't be inclined to hire someone if vulgarity runs rampant throughout their posts, because that is probably a reflection of character.
And one would be wise to use a degree of restraint, knowing that somebody you may not want to see your post is actually doing it.
For the record, I just did a search of the last 6 months of TB's tweets, dating back to when he was still at Bradley. There is not a single other use of that expression in any of his tweets since May, and nothing else significant that could be considered offensive, IMO.

That is my point exactly. Maybe it's my age but that's how I feel. I've always believed you surround yourself with people you'd want to represent you or your Company and things I've seen on some Tweets would make my trash can full.

How about words that if we used them we'd be considered racists. I don't use the word ,don't like to hear the word and don't think it has anyplace on Twitter to be used by ANYONE.Again for you young people,I'm just showing my age.

You're not showing your age. In my opinion, you're showing what type of people you would want in your organization. I'm right with you, but if others don't see it as an issue, to each his own.
