have you ever seen a college game of any kind so lopsided...

the Illinois women's team beat Concordia by almost 100 points - 120-29

but here are a few stats that are amazing..........
Illinois got 89 shot attempts to 34 for Concordia
Concordia turned the ball over 53 times - this has to be some kind of record!!
Illinois had 31 steals - every player on the team had at least TWO steals
At one point the score was 53-5 and it was 63-13 at half

does a team gain any benefit from playing such a lopsided game -- I say not...they most certainly cannot be getting better running up a 91 point win
Also - once you have a 50 point lead - is there any reason to ever put the starters back into the game???

Concordia's men's team chose to go play Steve Lavin & St. John's and got clobbered 87-36
    ..probably a decent payday, tho

Other than a monetary benefit....I see no court benefit at all

practicing or playing against such a woeful team - a team that isn't even in your league - is actually detrimental...
I know you have coached lefty - would have ever considered pitting a junior high group against 4th graders - or a high school group against 7th graders?
Of course not - it would be a waste of time for all involved - nobody would gain from it or get better - and in fact it would give a sense of regard for little effort or bad habits because they'd work easily against such a weak opponent and there'd be little incentive to actually work hard...
it would be an entire 40 minutes of DEEP garbage time that would showcase horrible habits and poor work ethic.

winning 133-62 over Trinity college (is this the trinity EIU beat by 53?

The Trinity International that EIU played is a small, private Christian college and seminary in Deerfield, Illinois. They are Division II NAIA (non-scholarship).

The Trinity that Moraine Valley Community College played is not the same school. Moraine Valley CC played Trinity Christian College, located in Palos Heights, Illinois. They are also a small 4-year Christian college and also an NAIA Division II school. But because Moraine Valley CC is a 2-year junior college, they are not allowed to play 4-year schools' varsity teams. So it was the Trinity Christian College JV team that Moraine CC played and beat 133-62.
