    Phelps (Drake) $274K

That right there is the reaon why anything shy of a top 3 finish and, ultimately, MVC Championship is unacceptable any more at Bradley. Geno knows he must restore BU back to the top of the Valley by the end of his contract or else. No excuses.

BUT -- every coach earning above $375K -- did NOT start in the MVC at that salary level -- they all had to prove themselves by doing some big time winning to earn the salaries they are now getting..
...except one, that is...and there are reports that Geno's number is actually closer to $900K than $700K

      Jacobson started at $289K
Marshall started at Wichita at around $400-500K when hired from Winthrop and has gotten raises to where he is now
McDermott started at Creighton under the $1 mil level

Thus - if you juggle the list a little and calculate the $$/per MVC win then the list would have to be re-arranged a bit
