I don't know that McDermott will be a top ten pick but #38? He should be a first rounder who could move up with another good year into a lottery pick.

He'll be a four year college guy.

odd that a guy being talked up as the College player of the Year would be listed that deep in the draft

Not really that surprising. He doesn't really have a position in the NBA. He's a GREAT college player, but he's not quick enough to play the 3 at the NBA level, nor big or strong enough to play the 4. He'll stay at Creighton for 4 years, then probably get drafted late in the 1st round by some veteran team, like the Spurs, that will find some way to use him.
