Things I saw today that I liked...

-our guys played hard battled for loose balls & rebounds and truly seemed more motivated than they appeared last year

-Tyshon Pickett loves banging and fighting for rebounds - it shows and it is appreciated

-lots of good seats will be available - so I hope we don't see people complain about not being able to get goods lower bowl seats...the attendance figures are hard to explain

-I know they weren't a great team but there was definitely a little more defense being played today - 16 steals, 19 TO forced, opponents held to 31% shooting

-Will Egolf still hitting over 50%

-Prosser showing a nice touch - going 4-5

-our guards had 14 assists...better but I'd still like to see more passing instead of head down drive and shoot...

-we won the battle in the paint 36-8

-Nate Wells & Tyshon stayed out of foul trouble

-14-17, 82% on FT's

-we continued to play hard even when up 20-30

Blowing out an opponent like this by 28 points. In the past, we have played these games way too close regardless of the talent level of the other team.

Year 2 is about winning some of those games that we found ways to lose last year.

I think you will see this team fight for 40 minutes. Let's hope they continue to build the foundation.

Agree with all your points and will add one. I think we were able to show how much deeper we are this year barring injuries. I think we can go 9 deep without losing much. BIG difference from last year and will probably get us a few more wins then last year. Love what I'm hearing about the 2 new recruits and what we might possibly be bringing in with the last two.
