New floor

New floor is ok, I would of preferred the Bradley at center court with 2 small logos in the Free Throw box of what is at center court now.

You are entitled to your opinion, but so am I. I have no negative feelings about the new logo, but it does not impress or excite me.

But I did talk to a lot of the people at the game, and have heard from many more previously. Unless all the fans who like the new logo are in hiding, it is pretty obvious to me that most do not like the logo.

The same people told me they did not like the idea of the name change. At least the administration admitted that and listened to them.


BTW, here is a site that sells college logo posters. Scroll through the hundreds of college logos, and see that there aren't many that look as generic and monocolored as the new Bradley logo

I think its funny that my post (the one you quoted above) was deleted...but only after you could quote it. What good does that do? (and while you were busy saying that everyone was entitled to their opinion - hmmm - only if it aligns with your own?)

Oh, and Tornado, I don't give two shakes what the "9 other Valley team message boards" have to say about our logo. I don't even care what you have to say about it. I love how people throw out lines about the "majority of people" doing anything when they couldn't possibly know that. We aren't all that easily fooled.

First- I did not delete your post. It was deleted by another moderator who felt it crossed the line. Posts should address the topic, and not attack another poster or another poster's opinion.

Why do you feel compelled to tell people who want to comment (or in your words "gripe about every last detail") that they are wrong? There is a lot to be dissatisfied about with where this program is at. It's obvious that many long time fans are not happy, and are disappearing. Anyone who doesn't see that, then I would suggest that they are seeing things through rose-colored glasses.

Would Cat ever use just a C in their company logo or for that matter anyone else?

Wasn't the Caterpillar logo for the longest time just a C in a block before they went to the CAT logo with a triangle in it?

Yes it was, we still actually have parts here at Cat Morton that are either in boxes with the old logo or bags with the old logo still on it.

Hmmm..griping about every detail is hardly something new on this or any other message board...
I have seen "fans" gripe about what a coach does during a time out, how he combs his hair, what brand of car he drives, what other fans think, and even what color clothes an alumnus was wearing to a Bradley event....
I might have an opinion on a few menial topics - but I have never sunk to whining about the trivial crap that a lot of fans gripe about when they only think about themselves...

And for years some fans even griped because we did not have a way to play our games up on campus - then we build a beautiful, state-of-the-art $100 million facility and those exact same fans then gripe because we have the gall to use it for games!

You keep refering it to the old logo, it stood out so well that hardly anyone around here remembers it which is why they changed it and now it stands out so much better, you kind of proved our point for us in that the plain B is just boring,

as was pointed out - Bradley DID respond to the overwhelming opinions that folks expressed in the surveys and they BACKED DOWN on the change to the nickname...so clearly that THEY DO CARE somewhat how their actions are perceived...

After all haven't we had NUMEROUS threads about our "image" and didn't Geno say himself in the chat that getting Bradley's "BRAND" in front of the recruits and fans was of ULTIMATE importance?

T, can you name me 1 person who complained because the Braves didn't play the games on campus and is now upset because they now play games there.
