I LIKE THE LOGO. I think that, especially, in the first few years of a logo switch having it be a centerpiece is exactly what is necessary.

I like that the out of bounds lines are stylized to match the B - did ya notice that, whiners?

You guys were posting pics of the most obnoxious floors possible and this new floor is nowhere near any of those. I mean seriously, you took a pic of it upside down...well...ONE FREAKIN' LETTER UPSIDE DOWN IS EASIER TO READ THAN SEVEN.

People watching on TV won't know who "B" is? Well, hopefully they'll watch for more than a channel flip during commercial breaks (and if they don't care to watch enough basketball to see a team inbounds the ball and read "BRADLEY" at the end zone...well...who cares).

If you want to gripe about anything - hows about pointing out that the old BU logo was spinning over the top of the new during the starting lineups. They obviously hadn't switched out the light that does that yet.

I suppose I should just be thankful no one called this part of the FALLOUT (yet) and that we aren't all b!tching about losing to another UofW-P school.
If you like the new logo, then chances are you will like the new floor. Personally, I think that the new logo is cr@* and we could have had a better design from an amateur. I was unable to go to the game yesterday so I will reserve my judgement on the baseline design. But needless to say from what I have seen so far, I would have no problem ranking this floor among the worst.

Though I am pretty neutral about the logo and floor, your sentiments Ben, are the ones I heard from most of fans who were at the game yesterday.

I thought the floor looked fine. Really, I care more about the program than the floor.

I thought BU played hard yesterday.

LG - there are 9 other Valley team message boards - I challenge you to go read what all the other MVC fans are saying about BU's new logo...it is not very popular...maybe it'll grow on folks and I will accept it whether I love it or not...but it cannot be denied that the majority's first opinion of it was less than positive.

Oh...and you do seen pretty morbidly neutral.
You are entitled to your opinion, but so am I. I have no negative feelings about the new logo, but it does not impress or excite me.

But I did talk to a lot of the people at the game, and have heard from many more previously. Unless all the fans who like the new logo are in hiding, it is pretty obvious to me that most do not like the logo.

The same people told me they did not like the idea of the name change. At least the administration admitted that and listened to them.

BTW, here is a site that sells college logo posters. Scroll through the hundreds of college logos, and see that there aren't many that look as generic and monocolored as the new Bradley logo

While I like the unfinished look, it doesn't mean you should necessarily just leave out anything besides the logo. What about portraying what college it is- maybe an "unfinished" bradley university lettering on the sidelines.

Also- the BU logo is now up there in boring with the likes of the BYU logos of the world. Plus I think there's just too much white in the logo and it really stands out when the logo is oversized. Why not keep the minimal theme with the court and get rid of the white in the logo? I think plain old wood instead of the white would look much better.

I actually like the logo and have no problem with it's size and placement on the floor. However, I'd like to see BU use the "Bradley Basketball" lettering that they had created, and I'd like to see more balance and color on both ends of the floor. I agree that the floor looks unfinished at this point. Simply coloring in the free throw lanes or charging cricles white would go a long way toward adding balance to the court... Just my two cents.

Agreed. I don't mind the logo standing alone at centercourt, other than maybe being a little too big. But to not have "Bradley" and/or "Braves" on the sidelines and no RED on the court (other than what is incorporated into the logo and the lines on the court)....doesn't make the court terribly appealing to me.

                      Yes....yes....yes.....

I think the new lettering would look great, either on the court or along the sidelines on top of the black. Also, make the lanes Bradley RED and I'm very pleased with the new floor.

Wonder if they were just waiting for the verdict of our nickname. Surely that could be the only excuse, whether or not we'd be allowed to use it, right? *crosses fingers*

The logo in the middle of the floor is really bad and tells you nothing about what the B is for, any corporation would want to know why Bradley was not incorporated inside of it somewhere because quite frankly they would ask
What the hell does the B stand for?
Would Cat ever use just a C in their company logo or for that matter anyone else?
You have so many sports fans watching the Bradley games and the IHSA tour. games on TV. to hopefully show case your name and they just blew it by coming up with just a B . Complete failure as far as marketing.

You understand the name "Cat" is exactly that right? The name of the company is not Cat, it is Caterpillar. But through promotion and marketing Cat has become synonymous with Caterpillar, even though the word Cat refers to a feline that has no relation to a caterpillar.

I am mixed on the new logo, but to me the floor is fine. It sticks to the new branding, which is what I am most concerned about. I think worrying whether people can figure out the B is equivalent to Bradley is a little ridiculous. Off the top of my head Stanford, IU (though I think it is in a basketball or the state or something), Duke, and Marquette only have logos in the center of the court and no other lettering referencing the school until the endzones/out of bounds. I am SURE there are countless others. This is just a case of fans finding something to complain about.

I like the new logo and the court. Looks classic and understated, like the M of Michigan or the N of Nebraska. Hire an Ivy League AD and get an Ivy League logo. Better than some cartoony minor league baseball looking logo.

Also, if you find yourself at a Bradley basketball game and don't know what the B stands for, I'm worried about you.
