  • Anthony Fields hurt

Anthony broke his right hand today in practice. Tough break for Anthony, get healthy quick I'm sure the Braves will miss him on the practice court.
If you cant go to school go to STATE!!

Sorry to hear. He should be OK in a few weeks. With the extra walkons, we should have enough help at the PG position for practices.

On the bright side....its better now on the transfer year than having a break during the 3 years of eligibility....may this be the only injury you have to endure at BU AF!

I guess that is a good sigh that Wells broke it going for a rebound.

It sounded like Wells was a powderpuff on the glass vs Upper Iowa based on the number of times Snell said "and another [DII player] took the rebound away from Wells"

Patience needed with Nate Wells - he has still yet to play an official game as a freshman

another injury report from Creighton - redshirt freshman Nevin Johnson from Houston, TX - with a recurring ankle sprain - now it's being said to be even more serious and he could be out 6 weeks or longer.
Tough break for a kid who already spent his redshirt year...

Actually - a report from this morning also says Doug McDermott sprained his ankle but it is very minor and shouldn't keep him off the court.

I predict that Nate will grow up fast once the real games start....just needs some PT in front of the fans IMO!

True. It's not like Egolf and Pickett showed up Nate on the boards. I keep hoping somebody will come in and break our cycle of losing the battle of the boards.

We are done losing the Battle of the boards specially come midseason, today was not to bad and no SS!

I agree this team is a little better rebounding team than last year, but I would caution judging based on today's game. UW-Parkside was a very small team with kids who might have been lucky to have a 6 inch vertical. Parkside only had one kid taller than 6'6" (he was only 6'7" and didn't play much) on the floor. Recall that we got outrebounded badly by Upper Iowa. I do think we'll still struggle against big or athletic teams.

I was trying to find some information on Mike Tucker's Friday night game against Oak Hill and stumbled across this video of Fields while he was still at QEA. Here he is in a high-talent level game going head-to-head with Duke recruit Quinn Cook -- http://www.ihigh.com/marshallcounty/...?silverlight=1

I do know that Tucker's QEA team lost to Oak Hill the other night 66-40. No box score is available yet.

I was told that Tucker played well. If I get any stats I'll share.

It's been reported that Tucker had 27 points.
