Why not change our name from the Bradley Braves to the Bradley Rabbits? Say it a few times over and over again slowly to see how it feels without jumping to any kinds of conclusions. With it comes no stigma or stigmata. Rabbits are clever, intelligent and lightning fast. Without limit would there be opportunity for happied creations of what the Bradley Rabbit would look like and, perhaps, how humbly proud he could be as our moniker. As far back as some will be quick to iterate the gargoyle has been a part of the Bradley campus, the rabbit has been there longer! Think of the wonderful costumes possible for just such a team mascot!!!

Rabbits, like squirrels might be a nice cuddly nickname for a junior high school girls team. It'll never work for Bradley.
Here is an interesting compromise- There are colleges named Eagles (over 25 of them), Blue Eagles, Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Purple Eagles, and Screaming Eagles.
How about the Bradley Brave Eagles. That combines the Brave with a true mascot that seems acceptable to a lot of people, since "Eagles" was one of the final choices.

Time to move on to a new name/mascot.....
I propose....
The Bradley 'Spinsters'....
honoring Lydia Moss Bradley...
Now we just have to find someone who looks like her and has retained some athletic ability at an advanced age!BUilding for the Future
