University of Phoenix - which uses TV advertising, and online access widely - and which has many campuses all over the nation...is making drastic cutbacks for financial reasons.
They are based in Phoenix, AZ but have pioneered the multi-campus and online concept in our age and have a total of over 200 campuses and locations, in more than 30 states (they have four sites in Illinois), and serve over 420,000 students...and have BY FAR the largest total enrollment of any university, and also highest enrollment of any individual campus.
..has announced they will close 115 different campuses & learning centers, which serve 13,000 students.
