  • Recruit visiting this weekend

I have heard Bradley has a recruit (2013) scheduled to visit this weekend. Let's hope for good news.

    Halloween is coming

Geno indicated earlier this year that we should be patient about recruiting, but if we didn't have any more players signed by Halloween that might be cause for concern. Any indication that we are close to signing anyone?

I would certainly like to see at least a potential center and a shooting forward verbal in the next two weeks. Any chance of this happening?

Just for the sake of accuracy, we won't have any players signed by halloween.

Yes, geno was referring to having 2 commitments by Halloween. Personally, I am not going to be worried if we only have 1 (Stefan Zecevic), as long as the recruiting does eventually land us at least 3 more solid recruits.

FWIW, the recruit I have heard that is scheduled to visit this weekend is Mike Tucker. There are also recruits scheduled to visit each of the next several weekends.

One thing about you is that you are consistent!

I'm betting a bunch of us was really hoping to have at least one other solid recruit give us a verbal this month. We all want to see some progress.

            Tucker is the truth

ok first of all Tucker is the truth. He is the best recruit that Geno has had on campus with the most upside..he is 6'6" and can play the one two and three...he can also defend those 3 positions as well..watched him hit 21 out of 25 three pointers though no one was guarding him..high major kid and the schools are coming at him now..he plays a loaded schedule this year including Oak Hill as well...grew from 5'10 pg to 6'6" in three years..played the four on his AaU Team and has slipped under the radar but will blow up once his season starts and he goes back to the two..if we dont get him before Halloween wont have a shot at him...keep your fingers crossed here..GO BU

Thanks for the write up on Tucker gerry. I've got my fingers crossed, a versatile 6'6" player with good handles and a decent shot could really be a difference maker for us in the future. I hope Coach Ford and the rest of the staff can get some good news out of Mike soon!
If you cant go to school go to STATE!!

Hope you are right Gerry. I thought from his list of offers we would have a shot at him. But I really know nothing about him. I hope he liked the school and players. I think Fields will be able to get the ball to some shooters if we can get enough players to surround him with. Hope some height would be on the way with the other scholarships if we did get Tucker.

Nothing to report yet about the Mike Tucker visit. Not unusual, since a lot of visiting recruits will want to return home before they decide, if they do.

I too have heard that this a player whom Geno covets.
