Don't Like Cram The Coliseum? Try These!

    "Stuff The Seats" ?

    "Re-Fill The Renaissance" ?

    "Replenish the Renaissance" ?

    "All Aboard the Arena" ?

    "Saturate the Stadium"?

      I have a question....would appreciate others' answers...

In one of the articles this past weekend the title was...

      "Bradley posts up at Ren-Col"

and I am sure we all know what the shortened term "Ren-Col" means but...I was wondering is this going to become the accepted nickname of Renaissance Coliseum...

But I couldn't find anywhere else on this board where the term "Ren-Col" has ever been used, and I did a thorough search of the entire PJStar archives, and it doesn't exist anywhere in their databanks..
Then I went a step further and did a universal Google search - and found that the phrase "Ren-Col" is used only once in all of cyberspace - in that link I cited...so clearly nobody but DR is or has ever used that phrase...
(now a new Google search will show this thread, I suppose)

So - anyone else think this is the term to use? If the folks at BU wanted it, they'd have used it somewhere but they haven't...

I hate the term Ren-Col. It was named for a reason... Don't cheapen it this way.

I like that better if the fans choose to call it that. Has there been an established or accepted term for it yet? I just don't think it's the media's place to attempt to create a cutesy name for everything. Does it take so much effort to report using the full name? Maybe some people will actually learn the meaning of a word that they were unfamiliar with.

I haven't seen any consistent use of a short name for the Renaissance Coliseum, but I think it's inevitable we'll see one or more emerge, since the term Renaissance Coliseum is a bit long to have to type out every time.
              I prefer RC over Ren-Col.

Ren-Col sounds like a very uncomfortable medical procedure to one's rear end!

I agree that Renaissance Coliseum is too long to really catch on. I think I used Ren-Col once somewhere and it seemed very odd. RC or the Coliseum seem much better.

My real problem with it is that I can never spell renaissance correctly

                        ROFL (Rolling On Floor Laughing!)

Or maybe I should make it similar to how Rennaisance Colisseum was shortened:
                        Rol-o-flo-laf

Sure - that works T...but are we talking basketball venues here or unique dog breeds?
