Devon Hodges, who left Bradley after his freshman season has landed at a Florida junior college..

He's a sophomore at State College of Florida...

Devon's State College of Florida played IMG Academy last night - no results have yet been made available --
They also previously played another nearby 4-year school, Florida College, and clobbered them 114-91

Devon is getting a fair chance to play in the early season

I'm not so sure of that tornado. His team is playing tonight and with 12 minutes to play in the first half Hodges has not played. Box score here -- http://www.scfmanatees.com/sports/mb....xml?view=box1

EDIT: It appears the box score is not entirely accurate. The pay-by-play shows that Hodges got into the scorebook at the 13:19 mark with a made free throw and now has 7 points, 2 rebounds, and a block.

EDIT #2: That link has apparently now been taken down.

          Hmmm....

... Devon Hodges played his 2nd juco game last nite and had a MONSTER performance...

he has been elevated to a starting position after coming off the bench for 8 pts in his first game...
last nite he was 10-11 from the floor - 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals

Good job Devon..keep it up and prove your doubters wrong...

I don't know anybody who doubted that Devon would be a decent JUCO player.

              decent....
after his first seven games he is leading the entire nation with 86% FG shooting...

also among the national leaders - BU recruit Deshawn Delaney - 11th in the nation in scoring at 22.0 ppg without attempting even one 3-pointer...
he's quite an athlete but in D-I it'll be harder without a good outside shot

Let's see if he turns into a D-I prospect again.

Right. Just because he didn't work out at BU doesn't mean he's not a D1 player. It's possible that both he and Coach Ford felt that he couldn't fit the fast-paced and athletic style of play that Bradley wants to play going forward. I certainly wouldn't make this an indictment of the decision by both coach and player. Rather, I applaud that both parties were wise enough and humble enough to part ways quickly as they did.

Devon literally sat out of competitive play for 3 years because of the fiasco with his transfer in high school and his sparse playing time last year ..
it probably isn't fair to judge him based on what people saw in his few appearances last year

Say it ain't so! I never really understood how anyone could possibly say Bradley didn't have any D1 players on their roster last year. There are 340+ D1 teams!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Devon may very well find his way onto a D-I roster again, but he clearly wasn't ready last year. Time will tell...

Did I ever say Bradley had NO D1 players last year? If so, I'd like to see it. I'll admit that we had (and have) a few that fit that description. And, most certainly, we have had (and have) several that should be on lower D1 rosters... That, or our coaching stinks.
