It appears the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux and the NCAA have finally reached an agreement on their use of native American Imagery. The UND fought the intrusion of the NCAA politically correct logo-police for many years, then the state legislature in North Dakota got involved and passed legislation and fought the NCAA over the issue.
Yesterday, 5 years after the NCAA ruled that all native American imagery must be removed forever, an agreement was announced that will allow the University of North Dakota now to keep most of the Indian Head logos inside the football/hockey arena.
Maybe there is still some hope that those at Bradley who have gone out of their way to eliminate all such imagery, and even made a monumental effort to remove it from all of Bradley's history will now back off a little and allow a more sensible approach to recognize and celebrate Bradley's history without acting ashamed of it.
