In prime recruiting season, anyone have any insights as to why we have not heard of ONE kid visiting BU yet? Seems like all the other schools are getting visits on a weekly basis but nothing is being reported from the Hilltop. This is a critical year for recruiting so maybe I'm just impatient but this is scaring me. Seems like we are losing out on our prime targets and are already scrambling for options 2,3, 4 and beyond.

criticism of BU's recruiting has been ongoing for several decades...even when we were landing JC, Cellus, DRuff, & & POB we heard people whining that we weren't getting enough talent or enough of the local talent -
...and I think Geno expects & is able to withstand the current criticism....but I think the facts simply prove what some have been saying all along....
It isn't the fault of any one person ...it's just the way it is....it is NOT an easy job....
Bradley has always been a tough place to recruit to, it takes tiime, diligence, hard work...and....some recent factors & changes over the past year or so have unfortunately made it considerably harder.....

Coach Ford has promised we will have 2 or 3 quality recruits signed by Halloween-

He actually kinda went a step further - he said...he implied if we didn't then it might be time to at least get nervous - but maybe not...panic...
"If we don’t have two commitments by Halloween, then get nervous. It isn’t panic time by any stretch."

Since the end of the 1955, Bradley has played 8 NCAA Tournament games, that is 1 for every 7.25 years.
Obviously its a valid critique.

Only kidding of course.
Maybe I read it wrong, but your post doesn't make much sense to me.

I actually have a hard time reading any of the criticism....since some BU critics seem to envy ISU and think we need to be more like them...
Yet - they draw 3,000-4,000, play horrid schedules, have rapists, DUI's, arrests, and kids in court at a pace that is 100 fold what people whine about here at BU - PLUS every single team in the MVC has been to the NCAA since the last time they went!!!
those who wanted JL run out seem to be oddly accepting - even happy with the enormous fallout and loss of talent that resulted that is gonna set us back several years --

Including the Sweet 16 season for the Braves, who do you guys think has done better as a whole?
I would tend to go with ISU-Red. I don't think there's much question about the student-athletes I'd rather have between the 2 schools...we have represented very nicely since I've followed the program in the early 90s...and that includes the fans.

some random recruiting news...
UIC just landed a 2013 verbal..was offered by Evansville & Valpo - possibly making Alec Peters an even bigger priority for Valpo...
they also picked up transfer Josh Crittle from UCF who is immediately eligible...
and here's an interesting story on a kid who was at Loyola in Chicago last year and even though they were horrible, this kid, Denzel Brito,
was one of their very few positives...on a bad 7-23 (1-17 in the Horizon) Ramblers squad, Brito averaged 7 ppg & 3.5 assists!
(btw- 3.5 assists on a horrid team with no scorers is impressive - and would have been tops on BU's squad and would have ranked 6th in the MVC)
But then Loyola picked up well-travelled transfer Cully Payne and cut Brito loose - essentially Janking his scholarship away from him to give to someone else - a la Matt Roth.
Bowles did get another offer but will have to sit out a year and then play his final two years at Loyola-MD
