"So far, Bradley continues to be the surprise of the league as they just missed winning Chicago Invitational Challenge, falling to Illinois by 4 in the tournament championship game. Bradley won its previous two games in the tournament by an average of 30.5 points and the Braves scored over 100 points in their wins over Florida A&M and Rutgers."
"So far this season the Bradley Braves have been almost unstoppable from behind the arc. The Braves hit a school record 20 three-point shots in their 107-75 win Tuesday night over Florida A&M and then hit 14 three-point shots in a 101-72 win over Rutgers in the Chicago Invitational Challenge. The Braves then nearly beat Illinois in the tournament championship game, losing by 4. The Braves twice held leads of more than 10 points but in the end the Illini were able to come from behind and hand Bradley their first loss of the season. This loss snapped the Braves 10-game regular season winning streak, but the Braves have nothing to be ashamed off. Jeremy Crouch has been the go-to guy so far this season for the Braves, averaging 18 points a game, while Zach Andrews has been a force down low averaging 13 points and 9 rebounds a game. This young team has shown it has the heart and talent to compete at a high level and come March it may find itself back in the Sweet 16."
(wow-- bold, wonder how much this guy'd get pummeled if he said this on a certain other board I know...!)
Their player of the week is Blake Ahern,
and they now have Bradley ranked as the #3 team in the conference behind WSU & MSU.
And even more in a separate article, calling the MVC on the verge of becoming the 7th major conference.
(the guy is incorrect in saying Bradley received votes in both the AP and Coaches poll, as BU only got votes in the AP)
