What this will guarantee is more sleeveless shirts, jean shorts, mullets, goatees, and tribal arm-band tattoos at Chiefs Stadium.

You can never take away championships, but in 10 seasons, the Chiefs were only 4 games over .500 while affiliated with the Cardinals. They weren't exactly killing it year in and year out. As it relates to players, there was a great stretch with Pujols, Harren, and Molina.

Let's face it Cubs' fans that the Cards have been a much better organizations in our lifetime and before our lifetime. I've also have said that the Cards have some of the best and knowledgeable fans in all of baseball. It's pretty amazing how a metro area like St. Louis can attract and keep some of the better players in baseball. No disrespect to St Louis but it is not Chicago. Kudos goes to the organization. BTW...I'm not a Cards fan.

I will disagree with the best and knowledgeable fans part. They are just the same as every other fan base. But they keep claiming it so it becomes accepted as the truth.

The media is very soft on the Cardinals in St Louis which helps with attracting and keeping players there. It is almost like a college town atmosphere around the Cards when it comes to the media.

No doubt. That said, it doesn't always lead to victories at the Class A level where it should be all about player development.

I like to compare Cardinal fans to Green Bay fans...smaller city, loyal fans.....it doesn't get much better. (still can't stand the packers, go bears)

if you go to a game at Wrigley and you go to a game at Busch.... its pretty obvious who has the smarter fans....

STL doesn't need a 7th inning song and a "go cubs go" song to keep fans entertained

I think every team has their share of fans who are "that guy". If you get large enough groups of people from certain segments of society, it's bound to happen.
