Let's face it Cubs' fans that the Cards have been a much better organizations in our lifetime and before our lifetime. I've also have said that the Cards have some of the best and knowledgeable fans in all of baseball. It's pretty amazing how a metro area like St. Louis can attract and keep some of the better players in baseball. No disrespect to St Louis but it is not Chicago. Kudos goes to the organization. BTW...I'm not a Cards fan."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

I will disagree with the best and knowledgeable fans part. They are just the same as every other fan base. But they keep claiming it so it becomes accepted as the truth.
The media is very soft on the Cardinals in St Louis which helps with attracting and keeping players there. It is almost like a college town atmosphere around the Cards when it comes to the media.

I like to compare Cardinal fans to Green Bay fans...smaller city, loyal fans.....it doesn't get much better. (still can't stand the packers, go bears)
if you go to a game at Wrigley and you go to a game at Busch.... its pretty obvious who has the smarter fans....
STL doesn't need a 7th inning song and a "go cubs go" song to keep fans entertained
