The 7-0 Saturday non-conference night brings the season record to
61-18, 55-18 against D-I, good enough for the #2 RPI among conferences

Any notice of the MVC from the Talking Heads on ESPN last night?

I too have noticed the severe drought of coverage on either CBS or ESPN of the tremendous success of the MVC.
Sure they report the scores, but virtually no mention of how they are putting the talking heads like Nantz, Digger, Packer to shame.
I think they are hoping the Valley just disappears so they can start talking about their Dukes and and their Georgetowns.

It was Gregg Doyel from CBSSportsline.com who did most of the writing about the MVC. . .he was rewarded in part for his foresight by being promoted to an editorial-level position, and he covers professional level sports for them mostly now.

I would look for more pub from CBS as the season progresses to promote their carrying the Arch Madness Championship.

Also and equally important as the RPI is, the Valley's
              Strength of Schedule after these
recent games against tough opponents has risen to #3 among all conferences.

I am just sharing info from another site:

From JPalm's site at collegerpi.com, the MVC has the 8th best SOS. (you are most likely getting your info from realtimerpi.com)

I'm not saying one is right and the other is wrong. Just sharing the info.

Is that through last night's results? Pomeroy is stating 5 after yesterday.

Pomeroy has the MVC fifth just a smidgen behind the Big East. By the way, what is the MVC's record vs. the Big East so far?

No way, if you mean the RPI according to Pomeroy, he has the MVC second well ahead of the Big East,
                      just check it out yourself.

Perhaps you meant the MWC which is rated 7th but is just behind the Big East?

I think Dallas Brave was referring to his Pomeroy Ratings, which take several additional things into account and are more accurate, especially in the early season (not his RPI)--

In the Pomeroy rankings, the MVC is 5th--

Here is more about his rating system--

Yes. Palm updates early morning each day. On his page for Conference Standings:

Don't look now, but RUTGERS has won THREE STRAIGHT!
(and in the process improved their RPI by nearly 100)
Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

In the meantime, the Valley goes to 62-18, 56-18 against D-I, good enough to remain #2 RPI among conferences.
The Valley is 42-1 in home games thus far.

I predict Rutgers wins 3 of their next 4.

                              Their schedule:

                              Dec 16 Iona
                              Dec 22 Lehigh
                              Dec 28 @ North Carolina
                              Dec 31 South Carolina St

Wow, three straight days and no MVC games.
seems like forever that we've had anything to cheer about!
Finally Saturday we've got some games.
