I thought in a past thread I mentioned as long as Carl was a coach that we would have a hard time getting anyone from them and you didn't seem to think so or did I misinterpret that?

Originally posted by JMM28wrong. Colorado State was a tournament team last year. They also featured only one senior. They hired Larry Eustachy because Tom Miles left for Nebraska. So there goes your notion I guess.
my "notion" is actually quite good..
you obviously only looked at what Colorado State has right now, this year and of course it's a little too late to be rebuilding this year - but.....
Cohn is Class of 2013 and he isn't going to be playing at Colorado State this year...
Cohn is going there for 2013 and that's whan Larry Eustachy begins his rebuilding project with the NEED FOR at least SIX new players...
CSU loses their best player and best scorer NOW, but then with SIX seniors in 2012-2013, they lose EVERY ONE of their TOP seven scorers and eight of their top nine by the time Cohn gets there!
In the article below Cohn specifically talks about how he precisely fits their needs for the combo guard that they need who can put some points on the board and that he ought to be able to get some PT immediately.
They have already now gotten two verbals and still have at least four open scholarships and are closely watching Cohn's AAU teammate Manual's AJ Riley.
All of this is discussed in this premium article on Rivals...
..also - we are just missing on all our top targets - but I know we'll get someone - just hoping we don't what what's left after all the top 500 all commit...
If we do poorly with our class of 2013, then the best we can hope would be to strike gold in Class of 2014 and then MAYBE witness some improvement by 2015...which is presumed to be the final season on GF's deal

I am torn on this. On the one hand he is a small guard in a position we don't need. On the other hand I feel he may be underated by people because you look at a skinny small white kid and think he isn't that great. Everyone that has been watching him thinks he is a very good player.
I would rather have a 6'5" or bigger sharpshooter than a 6'1" or 6'2" shooter at this point though.

LC -- he has had high school games of nearly 50 points in a single game - the kid can score...and he can also help at the PG position --
he's a higher scoring, better shooting, and maybe even healthier/better defending "Sammy Maniscalco-type of team leader" who is about two inches taller as well...and you think we have no need for that?
By 2013 Dyricus is gone and Walt is a senior - why would we not need a scoring guard that can help at PG?
